they need to move the summon button to the "o" button (on ps5) cause accidentally summoning/de-summoning the avatar when trying to build guage is annoying
@@Navinor im an Id main and at least theres some rythmic aspect to his combo finishers, along with a visual and slight sound cue.. this one is all guess-work especially when fighting behemoth
@@Ace1stClass77 Yeah. The problem for me is simply the fact i can't untrain my msucle memory from Narmaya and Vane. Both of them use the "Y" button to either perform a combo finisher or switch sword stances. With this character i often press the "Y" button and constantly summon and unsummon his friend, because i am trained to play Narmaya and Vane.
You can still summon your avatar briefly if you don't have any avatar gauge yet. That way you can get the benefits of Spirit Edge's Fury after spending your gauge to enhance a skill or two. Additionally if you use Tempesta after summoning your avatar instead of before, you start off with a bit of avatar gauge because of Spirit Edge's Rally.
I wonder if Warpath works if you save your gauge fill ability for after the finisher. So use finisher, immediately fill gauge again and get the benefits for 30s. Maybe with enough cascade and Quick Cooldown you can get close to full uptime this way
Yes this does work I’ve been using the warpath sigil and also getting tempesta going in and out of avatar mode this rotation does work cascade and quick cooldown is basically a must if you use it.
Yep. I run full cascade ad quick cooldown and I pretty much have full uptime. I got lucky though because I had a lot of those sigils already (Was using the Vane build built around pumping out energy destruction after XXYY combo)
@@HigkeyRegarded007 yeah! I’ve been running this too and enjoying it. Plus the Warpath sigil alone makes your Link Time damage spike insane. You can get 3 full finisher combos off and then still have both meters full and the Warpath buff when Link Time wears off. Man he’s super fun and building/playing around his Warpath makes him much more interesting imo
@@graciaman oh damn! I gotta try warpath again. I took it out because I’m still getting used to his combo routes and finishers. Definitely gonna add it back now that you told me it works well! Good looks!
Great guide as always Enel! I really appreciate these videos, especially as I'm inbetween jobs right now, it's nice to be able to have this time to game seriously.
I was super contemplating on the warpath sigil since in one hand, the cost is too high to get a benefit out of it in the long run but on the other hand, running on a super coordinated team could have the buff’s usability be super good on cutting down boss’s health bar on link time when used correctly. If only the sigil actually gives a half/full gauge refund every 1-2 finishers activated, it would’ve been such a QOL that way. At least the general strat for me was to pop the 100 skill after I attain those buffs
worth noting that seofon is not the only character that has hidden combos, that actually originated from the captain. the captain can also chain their normals into heavy attacks then back into normals as long as you dont press Y twice. skipping the kick attack on captain with this tech makes her much more smoother to play imo since the kick attack is a bit slow on the more mobile enemies
The SBA skill sounds like something u would want to use solo before having complete endgame build. 2 full bursts back to back sounds funny to me, and also an easy way to s++ on angra.
Was waiting for your guides for both new characters since what I came up with build-wise felt pretty lacking in somewhat. Also couldn't really figure out the best combos to use. Gonna head back into it as soon as I get off work later. 😄
Hi Enel, how do you see what combo are you doing in the Behemoth fight? It is very hard for me to see what animation Seofon is doing in the fight with all the effects and camera spinning and that screws up my combo eventually.
Maybe a placebo effect, but I noticed that my Drops/rewards from quests have been a lot better ( Example: Crowns of Lament dropping more often) playing as Seofon, than Tweyen or other chars.
Yo, love the guides enel, helped me get a grasp of all the characters ive been interested in. Was wondering if you had any plans to make any vids on the changes to playstyles and potentially best skills on characters that may have gotten these changed by the latest patch? ie io’s skills got some pretty big changes and may make her want to play a little different (from what i can tell that is)
My review, Seofon i have to say, were good but not the best either compares to Katalina. He basically only doing pretty good amount of damage in most fight, but wasn't unique or anything if im being honest. His slow and taunt was kinda decent ig, but he wont be bring the stuff that actually help his damage more consistently nor help others like Katalina SBA dmg boost, Percival charge parry attack, Charlotta infinite noble strategy or etc. So he is average character with a good dps overall and nothing too crazy.
I'm a huge fan of Xenoblade found your channel because of it. I was not aware of this game and the combat gives me lots of Xenoblade vibes. How would you compare the two ?
Will you be making an updated rosetta build guide after she gets her buff? Like how her new link interactions and rotations work now with warpath sigil
I call seven star brilliance, a mini-game skill. The fun part is if you die before the CD goes off at 5 minutes, you will have to start from scratch again. Auto-Revive doesn't work too. Tho I don't mind it being a meme skill, it's really goofy to use in FAA lol.
I would have never discovered this game if Enel hadn’t been making these guides. It’s crazy how under the radar Granblue Relink seems to be, despite selling so many copies. Here’s hoping he can make guides for the full roster!
Being able to mix light (X) and heavy (Y) attacks without breaking combo route was something copied from The Captain. They also both have 4 combo routes A-D. Then the Captain has power raise (Y+ and Y++) whereas Seofon has summoning. So yeah, I consider them to have equal number of combo variations. I found Seofon to be a mix between Katalina and Id (an Id version of Katalina 😅). Now I guess Captain+Id+Katalina would be more appropriate. But ooohhh boy! A combination of 3 arguably painful to play characters... Though, I suppose he has all their pros i.e. Captain's combos and arts level (through swordshine), Id's form cycling (sort of) and Katalina's summon, but doesn't have their cons (somewhat) i.e. Captain's arts level reset, Id's human/godmight form cooldowns being paused when he's in dragon form, and Katalina's Ares being banished by dodging/guarding.
I'm curious about how these characters play as A.I. (CPU). I usually play alone, meaning my main and then three CPUs. I know that many of these best build guides are designed for player use and the CPU will not benefit from our design fully. Does anyone know of a reliable source/tip for AI competency when selecting a party? I'm VERY new to "endgame" (midgame?) and a little lost building a party to devote resources to.
skills don't even fill the avatar gauge but you may not want to waste cooldowns either, hard to say for sure, really depends on how much gauge you have already and what the cooldown of the skill is.
you have to stay stationary for a second after using it to make sure it doesn't cancel the activation, also make sure you aren't mashing after heavy attack since they're the same button to use one and dismiss avatar
I use both of his movement skills when it's that scenario with his buff and infinite blade works skill, I think it works great. As long as you know his combos and best way to raise avatar gauge you're good
I was once grinding vulkan bolla nihilla with one other person for my sigils and ran into a seofon player who somehow got seven star’s brilliance at the very beginning of the fight (they were running stuff like quick cooldown and cascade) it was really funny full bursting the boss at near full hp and beating the quest before they could do one of their big attacks lol
very likely that the person is running a mod for seofon if thats the case. seven star brilliance starts off with a 5 min CD, even with quick cooldown reducing its CD it still wouldnt be earlier than 4 mins. since you mentioned at the very beginning of the fight then im fairly certain that player was using a mod. FYI there are mods that let you use seven star’s brilliance right away, same for tweyen's two crown strife
Ngl he is a struggle to play properly during the story. He really needs to keep his built up gauge and as people have said, move his summon trigger to another button because hot damn it is awkward.
