Though the crew in general also loves her, yet holds the MC in special regard. imo, If the only factor was the idea of people loving her, then technically she should be far more in love with death than anyone. As death's contractor, death has to obey her orders to satisfy them, she can be as selfish as she wants. I get what you mean, but she herself represents the lovers arcana. Though that admittedly is a more shallow reading of tarot cards, just as how nier has a shallow understanding of love. the older tarot meaning of the lovers arcana are being at a crossroad and choices. Dilemmas so to speak.

@@adrie0999 Officially they are a group, the evokers or in Japanese the ten sages although they do not look like an organization and definitely do not work together but as far as the game is concerned they are a group, now their interactions as a group were more prominent in the story of arcanun that they discarded, that's why their individual stories have practically no relationship outside of that of the siblings

Seems like she's a puppet character, and her SSBA looks like it's a counter. I like it. Still, can't tell if she plays more like a Zato or a P4A character.

The whole reason for the "Rising"-update/relaunch is the Rollback Netcode, because it's the biggest complain about 'Versus' not having one right now.

In case you were still on the fence: I picked it up recently and it has great connections pretty much anywhere on the planet. I've played Brazilians and Chinese connections that were shaky only once or twice an entire 3 match set.

if you are interested in knowing the lore of nier She is part of a group called the evokers, basically people who made a contract with entities based on the tarot cards, they help them gather what is necessary to rewrite the world in exchange for the new world being molded in the desire of they contractors, she was born into a family of magicians who, although highly respected, were involved in quite shady things, her parents mistreated her and gave preference to her sister, she did everything to have their affection, until she ended up forming a pact with death, death loves nier and wants to make her happy and killed her family that was the source of her suffering, nier's desire is to remake the world into one that everyone accepts her even if that means destroying the old world, she tricks the protagonists into helping her, nier falls in love with Gran/Djeta ( protagonist you choose) but when they discover her true intentions they stop her, feeling devastated that they "betrayed" she asks death to erase her from this world, eventually death revives her and she joins the crew, she is happier with the crew but she really hasn't really changed that much, Nier really has no qualms about killing basically anyone who hurts her friends, especially gran/djeta, in fact on one occasion they escaped from her hometown because they wanted to lynch them for protectin Nier, then After having escaped from the island, it is revealed that Nier secretly sent death to massacre the villagers who were chasing them without Gran/Djeta knowing what had happened

Short version is that she's a Yandere on Steroids. If you so much as not keeping your promise to her, she'd kill you on the spot

Abit lore: She tried her best to gain love from her family but betrayed. They let her to die but she made a contract with Death for power in exchange with mission destroy the world. She killed all her family later tho. You can read more on granblue fantasy wiki. Sorry for my bad English.

GBF’s Sakura Matoi (Fate). She was abused and neglected by her family. She came across a forbidden grimoire and Death’s card was in it. After experimenting on people who wronged her (to understand the book better/use the magic), she was later manipulated by her parents and they tried to use it to get fame/power. She was tortured by her sister and left for dead in a cell, until Death made a contract and saved her, since they were the same. She slaughtered her family and eventually tried to change the world to a world where she is loved. Gran/Djeeta defeat her and she killed herself with Death and was later reincarnated in her village. After Gran and the crew find out about her past, they decide to defend the new Nier against the village and Nier, finally being loved, developed a desire to protect Gran/Djeeta and joins the crew. Offscreen, Nier sends Death to the village and slaughtered them without the crew knowing. On the recent uncap, you have to make the right choices and you essentially marry her (there’s multiple bad ends where she kills you or etc.) The new uncap puts her into a gothic wedding dress. All of the Evokers represent the darker side of GBF (Lobelia, for example, is a serial killer who’s an audiophile and got off to killing his parents in gruesome ways and joins your crew because he said he won’t kill anyone else and Fraux was handed around and used.) For alternate outfits, they could give her summer, wedding dress, or her idol/character song skins (her GBVSR theme is a remix of her character song.) Nier represents The Lovers arcana and Death is the Death arcana.

a bit more specific on her beginnings: She's from a family of talented mages, but her sister was seen as more talented, and thus the "favorite child", so they cast Nier aside. She eventually finds a forbidden tome in her family's library that has never opened for anyone except her, and learns how to control life force through magic (including how to kill people). She's beautiful, and attracts men, but she's unstable af so they try to leave her, and as a result she uses them as "practice" for her death magic. Eventually she tries to show her family the results of her training, but... it's death magic lol they're not gonna praise you for that - So instead they throw her into a dungeon, where she, on the brink of dying herself, forges a pact with Death and subsequently goes on a murderous rampage.

Her VA Noriko Shitaya is Sakura Matou's VA too lol.
