Was at the canyon on 4/19, people don’t understand how crazy this distance is. It takes the average person 6 hours to make it just half way down in some areas

Rad video, congratulations. The split time was crazy. I'm doing R3 on 10/24. But I will job/walk and will shoot for under 17 hours. BTW I did Rim2Rim at night, try doing it at night and have the stars as your running mates.

Epic crossing Max. You were absolutely mobbing it the entire way!! Thanks for shooting a real running video: No music. No BS. Just the sound of running, and you checking in at the way points! A little tip to save your legs going down the S.Kaibab, especially on a cool day like this; don't carry any water. You can easily go 6.5mi to the other side of the Black Bridge, and there's a spigot as you go past the Boat Beach where the rafts park. It's about 200m after the end of the bridge, on a little side trail to the left, that takes you to that beach. It's a great feeling to blast down S.Kaibab, light and fast, and not have water flasks bouncing up and down, adding load to your calves and quads. I'm 60 and still run there 3 times a year. I'll be there in 3 weeks to run another Rim2River (aka: cowboy loop), and then return mid-Aug., and early Oct. for a couple R2R's from the NR Lodge. I run there XC style, so no poles, and now walking. Absolutely love the Canyon and it calls me back, year after year.

A 9-hour acid trip - what a way to describe it. Looking forward to seeing the canyon for myself in one month!
