Grand Central Sunderland to London - cheap and cheerful or must do better? **With subtitles** 

In this video, I travelled from Sunderland to London Kings Cross.
I found it cheap and cheerful but I suspect that prices will increase in December.
Distance: 265 miles and 68 chains (265.85 miles)
Departure: 12:30 (1A65)

Cost: £33.90
Value for money= 33.9/265.85= around 12.8p per mile. I think that this offers good value for money.
More boarded at Hartlepool than Sunderland. Eaglescliffe station was more like a building site! It really filled up onboard when the train left York.
Journey Central didn't work properly .
Punctuality: the train passed Retford 3 minutes late . That's the latest that this train ever got. Arrival into London Kings Cross was one minute early.
Either the air conditioning was weaker than many other trains that I used that week or there was none which I found a welcome opportunity to warm up .
When the train arrived into London Kings Cross, almost every passenger was in a rush to get off. I'm not sure why there was such a rush .
I'd definitely do it again and recommend that others ride this service - even if your journey doesn't involve London.
