First thing's first, when you go to the engineering department (not the college, but the specific department) you will realize that your K-12 education is meaningless. Absolutely meaningless, and if you took AP classes - hahahahahahah I feel bad for you. Second, there is no feelings in engineering. Third, why decide 'right now' what you want to study? Do you even know what career you want? What company do you want to work for? What position are you interested in? What project calls your attention? If you can't answer these questions *right now* then take a breath and just get internships and maybe shadow a chemical and mechanical engineer.
Ayesha Sharma thinking about choosing a discipline based on salary is not wrong but a really bad perception. choose the one that you enjoy doing, that way when you get to the real world you are using your full potential and in no time you will be richer than the rest because you are good at what you are doing
