@@TheJourneyAwaits when we crossed from California to North Carolina I did book out a week or so and then we also just winged it in some states (SD, WY, IL), but right now in the Southern states I have the next 3 or 4 weeks planned. Campendium is my favorite place to start researching!
Hey there waiting on our 17mke to come in. Your video on your new trailer was inspiring. Can you let us know how the beddys worked out. Would like to see how it looks.
Sorry you all I'm so far behind on everyone's videos. Being full-time RVers it's difently been a challenge finding good internet. We have a Grand Design Reflection 303rls Fifth Wheel. Now you have one thing that I wish all RVs had. And that's a sliding door to the bathroom. I don't know how many times I have been hit or I have hit Jim opening that bathroom door while he or me is coming through the hallway from the bedroom to the living section. Lol. I love your new camper and I hope that you both will create wonderful memories in it. We have been full-time RVing for 3 years and we absolutely love it and don't have any plans to stay put in one spot at all. I have several big announcements on April 1st during a Livestream ( hopefully I have good internet to do it). I really need to figure out a good internet solution. We are in Florida and the area we are in is a AT&T area. And we are Verizon people. Lol
You guys were smart to try it out a night before an serious camping! Smart to get the all weather! You guys it’s a beautiful camper. Love the bed hidden away! The fridge is a great size! And a real toilet, awesome!
Congrats on RV and taking it for your firs test run. Always a good idea. It is so nice. Thanks for the tour and we look forward to seeing your new adventures in the trailer :)
Congratulations. We have the same trailer that we bought when they went to the Murphy bed so ours is about 2 and half years old. It’s a great couples rig. I’m over all happy with it but my dealership sucks for service and all Grand Design does is send you to the dealership for service so you don’t get things fixed. Enjoy rig rig. Once I retire (soon) I’ll be putting up videos when we are out and about. Stay safe., Bill in Utah
Thanks for the tour! I like how you mentioned the problem with the refrigerator and the drawers. We have all learned of the supply chain issues and how it's affecting the RV industry, and you showed us first hand. Best of wishes to you guys on your travels!
Thank you for taking us a tour through that nice-looking camper that is really awesome I like that it's got a lot of room out of space and it is really beautiful inside thank you for the tour I enjoyed it and a video it was fantastic and I enjoyed it also take care of my friends and I will see you guys soon but until then don't forget to be safe and I hope you guys have a wonderful day
@@TheJourneyAwaits , Btw, I was watching a bunch of YT videos while cleaning my closet today and showing your channel on my TV, is it ok with y'all if you're in my video?
@@TheJourneyAwaits thats maybe 5 to 10 years down the road. Eventually we will do it. But right now we have other plans . We still want to do an asia tour and europe tour before we only doing USA with the RV.
This looks so great whooo bet you can't believe it! We've been thinking of getting one for a while... An upgrade from our 3 tents haha. I'm a little bit jealous 😊😍 enjoy. Look forward to following your adventures 😀
Having the 4 season package will help not only insulate it in the cold weather, but help keep it cooler in hot weather as well. Yes, that's a lot of counterspace. 👍 Oh yeah...mood lighting, cha chow. 🍻 Here is to miles and miles of smiles. Congrats on the new rig!! Sean
Congrats👍 Think your fridge needs to be pushed in and drawers will work. Other YT channel (Travel Small Live Big ), give a look. Has same unit same Fridge and no issues opening drawers. Evidently technician didn’t install fridge correctly.
Very cool! Congrats on the new rig! The fun and adventures to come will be fantastic! Okay, I don't think you would be getting me out of that chair any too quick...better than what I have here at home! 😜 Very cool murphy bed...and the fridge with a separate freezer is almost a must for me. Hmmm...feeling a little jealous envy...no, very happy for you two and the new pups also!! Have a blast! Bruce and Otis
We have an MKE17 as well. Bungie the front part of TV to the swing arm - otherwise the front screen portion of the TV can break away from the back section which has the mount. Cause is from the road bumps and shaking. A really bad bump impact can cause the screw sockets that hold the two parts of the TV together to crack and sheer as they are just plastic. It is a problem with the TV - not the trailer. A bungie cord will help as a shock absorber while going down the road.
I also have a 17MKE, my camper is about 3years old. My 17MKE has a DINETTE not recliners. Otherwise, the same as yours. Great trailer but it also has issues. The internal wiring is poor, coming from an electrician with forty years. The axles on mine failed because they were overloaded from the factory. I believe there was eventually a lawsuit and Baxter (the Axle Mfr.) was giving owners free axles. I did not get them, I was a second owner, I bought mine when it was just months old. But replacing the axle required upgrading the brakes and the wheels. On mine the propane gas regulator was recalled. I also found with years of use; the black tank rinse is worthless. The black tank sensors will all fail, because they don't get clean. I now back flush after each use, and that works great. The tank shut off valves also will fail, the cables all rust up because the cables are very long and are installed with an angle. The ladder will come loose, because they install it with tiny little black wood screws into just plywood. The awning struts, one failed this summer, so it does not unstow or retract parallel to the trailer. The bathroom GFCI also failed last year. I ended up replacing the mattress, it was killing my back and replacing it with a memory foam mattress. The toilet seat also broke after two years, now the thermal sheeting is coming up around the sink, i will have to caulk it back down. Ohhh, and the key broke in the storage lock so I replaced all the locks with the higher security round keys. Basically, I hope you are handy.😄
If I could go back I would not have purchased such an expensive RV , we have been lucky so far with ours. We had a recall took care of and the ceiling fell down - up out of nowhere it fell down. Grand Design said we where 3-weeks over on our warranty. Thank you for watching
That is a nice camper. Will you be using this to your trips to Disney? I can't believe the leisure area, better than I have at home. What a nice bed. You are making me rethink our plan to rent out a condo for our upcoming trips down south. Love the size of the fridge. 🐸
Great looking new rig. Congratulations. We have a 2020 Grand Design Imagine XLS 23BHE. You're gonna love this camper it's one of the best in the market. What is your tow vehicle?
19 Chevy Colorado. We will be upgrading to the Silverado. Our Colorado works but to me it needs a little more power , we are making plans for spring time coming up. Thanks for stopping over
@@TheJourneyAwaits Chevy Colorado is nice but yeah the Silverado will be capable and better. We are towing ours with a 20 Chevy Tahoe RST. Enjoy and safe travels!
Thank you for showing everything. I hope to be purchasing my very first ever travel trailer and love this, only hoping I can find one that's under the weight of maximum (gvrw?) 5000 lbs. This model is a little bigger but I LOVE the whole set-up with so much storage.
Best of luck! If we could go back again we would have not bought brand new. We would have found one about two years old that had depreciated all ready. Wish you the best.
This is the perfect camper! :) such a great layout, counter space, and big bathroom! Love it. Just curious, does the slide out couch fold into a bed at all?
