Great videos Terry! Your ideas and upgrades helped me out big time with my 21G. I was hoping for a parts list of the propane fittings, hose length, etc. off the bottles for the quick connect setup. Thanks for your time!
Thanks for watching! Here's a link to the propane quick connect album on my Flickr page. There are pictures of the install. I used quick connect hose I bought from Amazon. Hopefully that helps. www.flickr.com/photos/organize/?start_tab=new_set

Hey Austin. There are 2x2's along the edges behind the panel except for the top right. You can use 1 1/2" screws where there is backing. I used wall anchors along the side with no backing.
All the links are in the show notes. Click "show more" if you are on a computer. Hit the little down arrow on the right under the video itself if on a phone. Just in case, here's the one for the lights. www.harborfreight.com/115-lumen-wall-mount-solar-security-light-black-56252.html
Hi Terry. Great job on the videos really enjoy them very instructive and concise. I just bought a 20 2229G and I am attempting to copy your idea of hanging Pegboard in these outside storage compartment. When I drove my pilot holes for the pegboard I discovered that the wall of the storage compartment backs up very closely to the interior wall in the master bedroom wardrobe closet . What type of anchors or anchoring system did you used to hang your pegboard?
Hi Cindy. Thanks! There is 2x2 framing around the edges so screws can go right into that structure on the left and bottom edges. I used a regular plastic wall anchor on the upper right corner. Been totally solid for us and I have the pegboard loaded down.
Terry I’m about to order the Myoryde CRE3000 suspension kit, one set comes as a pair did you order 1 or 2 sets? Also I have the same year make and model trailer as you, do you remember if it is 33 or 35 inch wheel base? Thanks again for all the great videos!
Hi Shawn. Thanks for watching. There is wood structure behind that upper panel along the left edge and the bottom. Regular wood screws into that along those edges. I drilled holes and used wall anchors on the top and the right side. Has performed great.
Thanks Tim! Links to all the mods are in the video description. Hit the little down arrow on the right of the video title if you are watching on your phone and that will expand the list.
@@terryhatfieldmin Thank You Terry. We just bought a 2022 Grand Design 31G. I picked up those Metal Pegboard panels at my local Lowes. Do you know the length of the Screw used to mount those Metal Pegboards? I know you had mentioned a friend of yours that installed them.
@@timhedin2974 lol... That is actually a false panel with a good amount of dead space behind it before you get to the back of the closet so you'll be safe. :)
Really like your outside mods. Have made a couple on mine. My biggest mod. Has been a Onan generator couldn’t see spending $6,000 + . (Had a 4000 watt) in my garage.
We just took the generator plunge when we ordered the trailer. We also have the Predator 3500 that we use when we need AC at night. Way quieter than the onboard Onan.
Hello great videos. I've just discovered your channel looking for reviews on the weigh safe hitch. I've watched 4 of your videos now, I've heard you talk about opening your fresh water vent tubes when filling and using the pump, my fresh water fill takes for ever to fill and when running the pump it sputters I'm wondering if that is why I've never fooled with them on my old trailer never had the issue before, purchased a newer RV recently I see two different lines under the fresh water tank in two different locations I'm wondering if that is what you are talking about I thought they were drains nothing but a small amount of water comes out. Thanks for any advice you would offer. Mike
Hi Michael. Thanks for watching. These trailers are notorious for losing water from the fresh tanks while traveling. Many of us have added some Sharkbite valves to the overflows to prevent this from happening so it's not something that's on the trailer from the factory. They are also notorious for taking a ling time to fill the tanks so your issue there is probably normal. Should not have sputtering when running the pump though. There is something else going on there. Here's a link to a picture of the valves added to the overflow/vents on my tanks. live.staticflickr.com/65535/51383480918_bebc5afe2c_b.jpg
Hey Terry! Awesome video (again). 1)Where did you get your flag pole from and how/where do you store them? 2) Totally newbie 28G user and don’t understand electronics entirely. When I hook up my RV to wall, it trips the circuit. I’m not trying to run the AC or anything….Thoughts on solution?
Hey Todd. Last question first. I assume you are plugging into a regular receptacle with a 30 amp to 15 amp adapter? If so it's tripping the breaker in your house or garage? Assuming both of those are a yes, have you checked the battery voltage in the trailer before plugging in the trailer? Make sure everything is off in the trailer. If it still trips the breaker it may be the converter/charger in the trailer is plling more than 15 amps if the battery is low. The flag pole is from Poles and Holders. It is fiberglass and collapses to 48". Here's the link to the pole. polesandholders.com/PNH-22-Deluxe-**NEW**-and-MOST-Popular-Flag-Pole-p206298627 I se their ladder mount. Here's that link. polesandholders.com/Black-Ladder-Mount-22-p205977808
@@terryhatfieldmin yeah I have an adapter. I have not checked to see how much power it was drawing (any guidance on how to do that for a non-electrical person like me? I have a voltmeter but no idea how to use it lol. The few times I needed to use it I had to google what the symbols were and watch a video). The low voltage battery thing definitely could have been the case because I was consistently running out of battery. I replaced it recently so hopefully that’s not the case
Terry thank you for mentioning that Valterra valve mod. Could you please copy and paste the web link of the exact valve you purchased? There are so many different options on Valterras website to choose from. Also update, just completed your exact queen bed conversion mod and my wife is very happy with that new addition!
Glad the bed mod worked out for you. It is one of the best things we've done. Here's the link to the Valterra twist on valve. www.amazon.com/Valterra-Twist-On-Waste-Valve-Mess-Free-Waste-Valve-for-RV-s-Campers-Trailers/dp/B000BGHYJS/ref=cm_wl_huc_item
@@terryhatfieldmin Thanks Terry! Have you purchased / installed a sewer pipe holder underneath the trailer? If not, where do you keep all your sewage hose / fittings?
Did you record all the mods? There's about 15 videos worth of stuff to be released lol... Why did you go with a hybrid gel battery instead of Lithium? Great videos by the way and love the flag!
Thanks! As I was prepping for this video I was thinking that I needed to go back and do some more individual ones. :) I felt the hybrid gel would be fine for what we do vs the extra cost of the lithium. I might change at some point but perfectly happy with the hybrid gel at this point.
That rear awning supporter is awesome ! my 29G patio come with awning, definitely need the support legs, thanks for sharing the info Terry, do you have the purchase link ?
@@mskone64 You can see the brackets in this manual. You'll have to call LCI customer service. Tell them the situation. That's what I did. They sent the brackets out for free. lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws.com/manuals/awnings/ccd-0004249.pdf
Hi Terry, great videos we just subscribed and are looking forward to watching more of your work. I have a question about the 30 Amp service with having the 2 air conditioners. Do you have any problems with it? We are looking at getting a 2022 31g and are concerned with running 2 conditioners at the same time there might be a problem. Thank you
Terry. Luv your video’s and mods. Since so so good and knowledge I have one for you. The trailer toad. There are only a few things on RU-vid about it. Have you heard of or seen one? Maybe do a review on it I have the 29g and other buddies want one too but only have F150’s. The trailer toad would be a good fit for them. What is your opinion on one if you’d like the challenge? Thanks for your efforts on it
I did not do the crossmembers but did do the wet bolts and shackles. The '21 trailers have the reinforced spring hangers on them. They probably could still benefit form the crossmembers so might do them in the future.
Terry- Regarding the wet bolt kit, is that an easy install? I don't quite understand what it does or how it goes on? I'm going to upgrade the shackle for sure.
Todd, The wet bolts are greaseable. They replace the existing bolts you'll have to remove to do the shackles. I highly recommend doing the complete CRE3000 conversion. The upgraded equalizer improves the ride and is a much beefier piece vs the original equalizer.
Terry, What type of backer anchor did you use on the right side to mount that pegboard? I have some heavy duty drywall screw in anchors. I'm thinking to use those.
Terry- Great videos. I've had my eye on this model for quite some time now. I planned to pull with the 3/4 ton Ram diesel. The tongue weight has me a tiny bit concerned. I am maxed out at 1600 pounds which is about what this thing weighs on the tongue- best case. Do you think a one ton should be used to pull this? Or can it be done with a 3/4 ton safely?
Thanks and thanks for watching! There are several guys in our 29G/31G Facebook group that pull them successfully with 2500's. Strongly suggest you invest in a Weigh Safe 20k rated hitch. Best thing we did for ours was get the Weigh Safe.
You mentioned there is a fix now but you are going to leave the sharkbite valves on the fresh water vents. Where can I find the other fix, or do you think the shark bite valves are the better way to go?
Here's the link to what Grand Design is doing now. I've heard that some are getting the retro fit but I'm perfectly happy with the Sharkbite valves and don't plan to do anything else. onedrive.live.com/embed?cid=2746063078E6E996&resid=2746063078E6E996!1619&authkey=AMwxStxL81nFvng&em=2&fbclid=IwAR3zx9HuDywZpcoLWKJO7OkN7U6eMmUWQLzNlSE1OjZ666DdYI0TBHKRmis
Hi Terry, did you video the install of the Morryde steps and storage boxes? I see that Lippert also has a version. Was there a reason that you chose the Morryde over Lippert? I’m thinking about upgrading my steps.
Hi Jake. I did not video the step/storage box installs. It's a pretty straight forward process. The exact model of steps we have were being discontinued by Morryde at that time and were quite a bit less than the LCI steps so I chose to save a few bucks. We love the steps and storage boxes. The larger top step on the LCI is nice but not having that has never been an issue for us.
@@terryhatfieldminOk thanks much for your response. We will look into both options. We just picked up our 29G and are looking forward to getting it set up!!
