Just rewacthed the movie... the feelings came back... the goosebumps... sadness... happiness... I wish there is more of this masterpiece these days. An anime with deep meanings... expressing love without kissing and some sort... this movie is surely a work of art

When i decided to rewatch weathering with you, I noticed something that hit me hard, harder than the first time I watched it. When the main protagonist experienced rain in the city. That got me thinking, rain can sometimes symbolize your problems, your sufferings, and your despair. We are constantly being bombarded by these emotions almost everyday. There isn't a day that we don't experience even a little bit of these emotions. And in context of the movie, Hina was always the one who can always stop them for a brief moment in time. In life, there is always that special someone who will give you happiness amongst the sadness, light amongst the darkness, and sunshine amongst the rain.

4:40 is pure heaven

unpopular opinion: weathering with you is the best out of your name, suzume, and garden of words. it has the best vibes for me, raining the entire time, and its main to characters are the best amungst any of these, with garden of words feeling a bit too short, suzumes main duo feeling kinda weird as one character is so much older, and your names duo being slightly under developed and their relationship being less fleshed out. weathering with you really focuses on not the supernatural things, but on the relationship between the main characters, and how much/ why they care for each other so. the last stretch where the mc desperately longs for the girl gets me every time

I will never forget the feeling of watching this movie in a theatre and how loud the croud was cheering when taki kun and mitsuha appeared.

Makoto Shinkai knows what love is... its not just kissing and sleeping together. Love is just something that cant be explained , just felt ~

I won't forget this song. The moment I received an email that I was due for interview for my scholarship to study in Japan, this song started playing on my headphones. I made it past the interview and also got accepted at one of Japan's top Uni. In a few months I'm leaving for Japan to study for 4 years. It was like a premonition on that day because out of the 1000 plus shuffled songs that are in my apple music l don’t know why this one played at that exact moment. I can't get over until now.

At the end, Hina still praying for sun-shining... that was so heartwarming and aching at the same time. "With you I love, I can endure weathering"

I remember the day I went on a date with a girl to watch this film. I had planned out to confess during the film, but did not know when it would be the correct moment. Well, just at the end of the film, when there was that nostalgic music, I said, "there's something more". She answers with "what" and I said I liked her. She said she liked me back :). It was literally the best moment to say it. I found it really romantic and will never forget it. Sadly, we're not together anymore because of covid and long term relationship.

ive been listening to this for atleast a year now, never gets old, gets me thinking back to last year when i decided to change myself and went on a mad diet which i lost over 100 pounds in a year without any help of supplements, trainers or surgeries.... its a massive help from anime which helped me get through it all as silly as it seems

Makoto shinkai knows how to make public lose their shit! The fact that both of his movies doesn't had a single kiss scene but we still got butterflies was just awesome

I am now convinced that the japanese are on a league of their own, music and art and animation and whatever art medium

this movie is the epitome of "between the world and me, which would you choose?". It's crazy really. I can never understand the sentiment a world without you is meaningless. but the boy made his choice. and personally, it was something else. this movie is AMAZING
