We just booked our trip for January. Thanks for the video to give us an idea of what to expect. Do I have questions for you! Did you Uber into town at all? Were all the Solarium rooms in the vicinity shown in your video? Did people bring floats from home for the pool? How about things to do after the nightly entertainment? I've read from others there isn't much going on after 11:00, is there a common area that people can meet with friends? Thanks again for sharing!
We did a cactus tour, so we did not uber into town it was an arranged shuttle with the company. The solarium rooms were not shown in this video, sorry. Yes I did see floats for the pool. Nightly entertainment outside of the night club on site there was not much offered. There was a common lobby area that has a bar where you can meet with friends. I cannot remember the hours though, sorry! Hope this helps.
Thank you for the video. I liked it! Is there any swimmable beach in front? I saw another review that said you could snorkel out front and that the rocks block the waves. Really hoping to have ocean access.
Hi! From what I remember the lifeguards will allow you to snorkel ; however its at your own risk. They have a form you complete prior to going out into the ocean. If you want to just put your feet in and stay close to shore then you can but I am not sure how much snorkeling you could do that shallow, you know? The water across the board in Cabo is rough waves so they advise against swimming.
To be honest we ended up in a room near that area without having to actually upgrade and the "private pool" was not really being monitored so we used it. Idk if things have changed since though.
The beds were hard. I have to say 😭. We went to the arch of Los Cabos (boat ride) they have diff types of boats so it depends on what you’re looking for. We also did the cabo adventures where they have the camels, ATV, tequila tasting etc. both were lots of fun! They have a ton of other excursions too and a representative at the hotel during the day who you can book with.
Lucky you bc I JUST got back from RIU Baja California. Haha resort tour coming soon. Here’s my thoughts. RIU is adult only (which I appreciated no kids) and the food at RIU and here were both good in my opinion. The entertainment at RIU is non existent. They have shows every night but not too lively and nothing else following the show (not sure what type of entertainment you like) whereas here the entertainment was more engaging and nightlife atmosphere.
The staff at both were very accommodating. RIU bathrooms are more modern but there’s chipping of paint on some walls and the beds weren’t overly comfortable. The beaches at both you can’t swim in due to the rough tides being on the Pacific Ocean. You can see the Marina from RIU and they have fun activities in the pool during the day to keep you entertained.
I really enjoyed your video. Were most of the restaurants a la carte? Also how was the room. Were you happy with the housekeeping? Did you see any bugs in the rooms? On another blog one member noted that there was a bug issue. Lastly did you find the resort too big? Was it hard getting to the main pool etc.? Thanks so much for your help! Xo
The restaurant’s were a mix. Only a few were a la carte. The rooms are definitely a bit outdated. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but it was livable (nothing extravagant but good enough to lay my head down and shower etc). Oh nooo I didn’t see any bugs in our room. The resort is definitely HUGE!! The golf carts help out a ton (you call and request one to get from point A to B) but if you prefer to just get up and walk to the pool/beach this resort may not be the one for you (unless you specifically request to try to be closer). Our second room ended up being walking distance whereas the first one it seemed like we were at a different resort it was so far away lol. Hope this helps!
I’m trying to book a trip to Cabo now. I wanted all inclusive since I have not done that before. I found it interesting they excluded some of the food choices and star bucks. Also, how much a night was it to stay? Do you also purchase the meal plan separately or is it with the daily price?

I too found it interesting that some food options were excluded (almost a slap in the face since it was advertised as “all inclusive”) BUT it was worth it lol after I tasted it I semi understood. I may not be the best to discuss the pricing since they were running a special (check Cheapcarribean.com for great deals too and they also have flight/hotel deals). The meal is included for the majority (ie included in your initial costs- you don’t have to bring money to eat). The places that have premium menu’s it’s noted at the restaurant (those require additional payment once you finish eating). I hope this helps!
I'm going here next week and while i"m not opposed to going to the restaurants I'm wondering if room service included? Like if I wanted to have breakfast on my balcony can I order it from one of the included restaurants?
If I remember correctly there is a separate room service menu. While it is included to you at no charge you aren’t able to order from the restaurant menu, only the “room service” menu which is limited.
RIU Baja is another all inclusive (it’s adult only) and it’s much smaller (ie less walking) and the reviews weren’t bad. Have you heard of that cheap carribean site? They run specials occasionally so I would say check there and they have tons of reviews. That’s always how I choose resorts. For Los Cabos I will say there are A LOT of options so reviews will be your best friend. I’m not too well versed to give too many other suggestions though. Sorry!

Correct. You can put your feet in and that’s about it. Too many rocks. If you wish to snorkel you have to sign a waiver with the life guard (basically signing your life away lol). If you enjoy being waist or even neck deep in the beach water this isn’t the resort for you. All of los Cabos is like this though (for the most part) due to the body of water it’s located on.
