Grand Magus is the epitome of the classic Chef saying "simple done well". They don't do anything fantastic or edgy, but their simple sound is just so spot on, perfect and groovy. An instant new favorite, can't wait to see them in October with Amon Amarth!

After almost a year since Sword Songs was released we finally get a video for a song from it, looks awesome

I watched an interview of ex Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing and the man interviewing KK asked him "what is one of your favorite bands"?. He answered back "Grand Magnus". I figured if KK Downing likes this band then they must be good.. Sure enough, he was right. That was about 6 years ago and I been listening to them ever since.

People saying JB isn't a good singer... you guys are aither deaf or right-down nuts. Love your work guys, hope to see you live again one day!

I was starting to get frustrated because I wasn't finding many new metal bands that interest me, for me that meant a classic heavy metal band. Well I was watching an interview of ex Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing. They asked him if found any new metal bands worth listening to. He mentions this band. I thought by if KK likes them, than I probably will. Sure enough I did. Quite impressive for a 3 piece, powerful lyrics, and just great musicianship. The production and mixing of this album is top notch.

....what a MAMMOTH TRACK!! What an ASTONISHINGLY AWESOME ALBUM SWORD SONGS IS..been in the car stereo since its release and still addicted to it!!! Been a supporter ever since hearing Iron Will for the first time, and GM are without doubt my all time best ever metal band. Those who like the whiny high screams of a wuss, or the pungent growls of an ogre ..look elsewhere.. for here, JB's vocals are the most manly of all men in metal... To those who are dissing - only explanation that I have is that they obviously have issues with their hearing. Just wondering who's chops they are into???

Grand Magus always does greatness. Every one of their albums is fantastic and I love this band but for some reason the do weird mixing... im not sure whos fault it is but their first album and Hammer Of The North had the best mixing to my ears.

Classic example of a band that had nothing more to offer after the second album.

Not their best album "Hammers of the north" and "iron will" had better songs! Still a Great Band!!
