Watch Owen Turtenwald (UWR Delver) battle Jared Boettcher (Sneak and Show) in the finals of Grand Prix Washington D.C. 2013. Format: Legacy Complete coverage: www.wizards.com...
LeeVai666 That's my point. It's a silly combo deck with a single win condition that more often than not just sits there looking stupid while their opponent just masses counter spells in their hand. They should just ban Sneak Attack/Show and Tell or Emrakul/Griselbrand in Legacy already. They're not fun to play against, whether you stomp them or they combo out and kill you from full to dead while they're at 1 life.
2nd Probe appeared to be super loose. He knew exactly what was in Owen's hand at that point, as he had played the lands and Delver as the only cards he drew.
I would argue that he just wants to draw the card...but paying the two life for it while facing a delver that's about to flip does seem a bit sketch to me And then he proceeds to jam his intuition right into a daze which he knew was there... I could almost stand behind him paying blue for probe...but still not good
At around 24 mins, you can see that Jared discards his only large creature to the sword trigger. He then immediately draws an emrakul off the top - did he mark all his emrakuls and griselbrands?
I have never seen someone hard cast a force of will, in fact when he pitched spell pierce to force of will I thought, "But a useless lone force of will!"
If people could not post congratulations comments about who won that would be fantastic. Having not seen this before, they ruin the end for myself and anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
I watched this at the gp, and I was rooting for Owen the whole time. Personally, I hate sneak and show/omni tell decks. One, maybe two win cons at best that can fizzle too easily and when they do work, there is no victory point for the other player
Those decks probably cost more then the cash prize ......Anyone sell a card from ABU that ended up tripling in price ? I did . Sold a Timetwister and chaos orb from unlimited five years ago to card kingdom got around 100 something for both if I did now I'd get about 1k I hope I come across a good yard sale again.
if sleeves are damaged, he could put certain damaged ones on certain cards, thus knowing what he will draw. Basically like writing an X on a force of will, so if its on top you will see it is next.
sold my show and tell for 50 on ebay. Sadly i lost the other ones lol and many other old cards, now i dont have much but i manage to play some standard
Dude I've bought cards for 3 bucks that went up to thirty sold cards for 20-45ish that either went down or way up my biggest fuck ups are Timetwisted , Chaos Orb(U), Lion's Eye Diamond , Traded a Mox Diamond to a friend for a couple of shit cards cause I was a kid and liked the art, My mom threw out hundreds of dollors worth of cards probably more when I moved out. This will haunt me forever don't feel bad lol...
Legacy is so weird to me. I literally watch the entire game like "wait what was this combo" and "HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY PLAYING OFF OF ABOUT ONE OR TWO MANA PER TURN" xD just too new to the game i guess
I'm just happy Craig Wescoe lost. I don't like his play style at all and I don't think he is as good as a player as he is made up to be. Sneak and Show is an annoying deck but it's better than watching weenie deck by Craig Wescoe
