It's glorious. I hear your call for steel but these watches are soo comfortable to wear and my experience is titanium is way more scratch resistant. I'd buy this!
Bruce, I love your videos and watch them regularly, and this has absolutely nothing to do with you, but I couldn't manage to keep watching this one past 1:17. Grand Seiko is cool, but their marketing department has turned into a bullshit generator.
I get a kick out of the hokey stories Seiko comes up with to describe their watches( I am a big Seiko fan) It looks like my Sarb from 10 years ago.( witch keeps great time) A no maintenance and 250 bucks. People are suckers to pay so much for a watch witch will cost them a lot in the long run. ps, it is a beautiful watch but not worth the price.
The stories of their inspiration for dials are becoming a meme by now. Whats next? A black blocky dial based on the tires of the ceo's toyota hilux they see oht of the office window? Or the colour of the panties of the coffee lady. Like wtf. Love the dial though... but for pink i think i like the shunbun pattern more.
Thank you for your review of this. They need to improve the bracelets on the whole range. They are not up to the quality of the watch heads. Having had a GS with the power reserve on the front I no longer see it as an issue.
Seen both up close, IMO the Shunbun just has more nuance & multifaceted (-but-low-key) expression of… pink. I can’t speak for ROW, but at least with Asia , the Shunbun has already proven itself to work its way up into the pantheon of GS’s all-time classics
it is a nice watch but personally I much prefer the original especially for the theme the watch represents i.e a snowscape and the blue seconds hand just stands out so much. I think the pink power reserve indicator hand ruins this one its such a contrasting colour its as if its the wrong shade?
