Whether we argue it or not part of why we buy luxury watches is for their brand name recognition by friends and strangers. Most don't know the name Grand Seiko.... No idea it exists. For the dance money i think must world rather buy an Omegas or Tudor... For ak little less a Longines
@@AGC828 To each their own. I don't mind buying a watch to help build the brand especially when I appreciate not being jerked around in a dealership unlike in a Rolex AD or having to worry about whether my watch is real or fake. And I have something unique and most watch people which you probably are since you clicked on the video knows what Grand Seiko is. Rolex and Tudor had decades of marketing that non-watch people can identify with but I didn't buy this to impress them. Like I say in the video, its an expensive purchase but I was willing to take the risk because I was saving a lot buying this particular piece in Japan itself.
