Got to the show late today, but I must admit? Dayum! Thanx for the wrist candy today Mosso! The DB amd GF were remarkable to say the least. Plus of course Lange, but that lume of Moser stole the show 👍 😳😳😳 Thanx for the entertainment and education Mosso. Have a good weekend. 🥃
This video just kept getting better and better haha. Fantastic video. I have to say, the watch at 18:42 took the show for me. That vignette on the dial 🤤...
@@davidc5191 Very nice! I love it when brands so that I hope it becomes a trend. I know VC does it w/ the overseas @Tobias Bolli I hear ya. I actually really like another LE myself. I almost feel like gs is like Goldilocks, you have to find the one that is just right for you
I would love to own a collection like this. In fact, I might sell my soul for a collection like this. But, honestly, what a great standout selection of watches from start to finish. Even just given the chance to review these watches would be a dream come true.
That PP Calatrava is gorgeous! I love it. Both of those HM&C’s - yet another set of awesome dials! That DeBethune - that dial is spectacular! I’d love to see green and red variants of it. HYT - wow! Not personally my style but I have tremendous respect for them for the product that they make; amazing! That GF is amazing too; wow!
Amazing selection Tim, love the 6007 (so much better than it at first seems), DB SV is stunning, ZW is sublime and the Moser Tourbillon is amazing - although I couldn't wear it crown to the left and the dial appears upside down crown right.
I feel like this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but while I think GS does soooooo many things right and brings you more value than literally anyone else, they're not quite there yet. This particular watch is another example of getting it almost perfect, but it's a bit too thick for the profile. If you're going to do a 39 millimeter watch and you're going for that elegant look, my general rule of thumb is (diameter/3) -1, so a 39mm watch should be 12mm or thinner. I realise this sounds super nitpicky, but when I'm dropping thousands of dollars on a watch, I expect it to be the perfect example of what I'm getting. I don't think Rolex gives you better value than a GS, but when you pay 9700$ for a GMT, you're getting the perfect version of what that watch is supposed to be. A rugged sports watch with the perfect proportions and a hugely robust mechanical movement. Grand Seiko took a step towards this with the seasons collection, and I think SLGH003 (which I think is just perfect in terms of dimensions) is a signal that they're now stepping into the realm of absolute perfection. I imagine I'll be buying one in about a year or two, but not quite yet.
fully agreed. GS really seems to excel at certain aspects, but for some aspects seems to really fall behind some competitors (thickness of the watches, bracelet, clasp)
totally agree with you and it's not overly nitpicky, it's realistic.. 12mm or thinner shouldn't be so difficult The Cartier Santos, albeit with a traditional non-spring drive movement, is under 10mm and curves to the wrist And as you say Rolex as boring as they are just get the proportions so right I'll throw microadjusting clasps in with your hit list for the perfect GS
I don’t feel the dimensions are overly off, they wear better then you’d think. I own the skyflake, wears nicely and it’s presence on the wrist is fairly subdued. My main gripe is the clasp and strap, needs improvement, as far as the case, dial, hands, movement and over all finishing are concerned it’s a very nice watch.
Waking up to Thursday watches! Stay safe Tim! That Moser Mosaic had such a mesmerizing dial of course but additionally that case has such presence. #timmossosunglasses
@@the1916companywatchreviews I can imagine they do. And iam a little surprised that they still do after all the years. But the man said it himself, he works on the "razors edge" of being innovative and non traditional, without being clownish. LOL. He must be doing something right. Thanks for the response
So many nice watches! but that HYT H0 Eau Rouge is so god awful to look at, it looks like a child's toy watch where the little steal ball floats around and you have to try get it through the maze. I'm glad the price isn't displayed because i know it would make me sick. The Soko is so nice. Love the channel Tim.
What I find interesting that no one discusses is that the million dollars worth of watches shown in this video means wealthy people are selling their watches in large numbers every week. The recession is by no means over.
