Grand Theft Auto 5: PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S vs PC vs PS3 Performance Review 

This just makes me more impressed with the 360 and ps3 version than anything else

Naughty Dog and Rockstar really squeezed everything from the PS3 with TLoU and GTA V

Can we just talk about how the PS3 could run GTAV, COD(MW2, WaW, BO, BO2), Battlefield(BC2, BF3, BF4)…thus games haven’t really changed that significantly since it’s generation.

We are never getting rid of these game

To be honest the new graphics are nice but it feels like there is a lack of new content.

why isn't the video in 4K? Like isn't that the whole point of the video, that being to see the actual difference between other consoles?

5:13 = This title is heavily dependant on the Havoc physics engine...? That was used in Half Life 2... I believe it was their own in-house engine.

The PS3/X360 version of GTA V in my opinion is better than the rest. Nights felt really dark, car deformation was better and because of the blurryness of the PS3, you couldn't see the problems with the game itself.

But this is the issue isn't it? Just talking about performance for a game that has been through 3 generations of consoles is ridiculous, we should of had 6 but even then some story DLC would of been much welcomed rather than an "updated" version.

Now this game should not have that absurd auto aim in 60fps. It should not even be an option, multiplayer then would be much better and more skill based in those pvp game modes.

Why are u always compare mostly the singleplayer? Isnt the Online Mode more importantly and has a different perfomance than the SP?

A lot of things mentioned by nx gamer was very cleverly omitted by digital foundary. Like fire and smoke effects when compared to the maximum settings on pc looks way better on ps5 and series x. Graphical settings are significantly better on ps5 and series x compared to pc. That Alex guy is a complete pc fan boy and hates consoles.

The overall input latency is part of GTA's dna... It's a design choice to make players think more about their actions, commit to certain movements and to punish button mashers.

It's a full price game, it's on sale right now but it's still going to be a full price game. It's shameless greed.

The fact that we are seeing any frame rate drops on GTA 5 on next Gen consoles really makes me skeptical on how well GTA 6 is actually going to run.

GTA5 is a lesson in the law of diminishing returns. The Rockstar team worked for years on seventh generation dev kit hardware to test the game during production. They pushed the PS3 & XBox360 to the limit and the original seventh generation version still holds up today. The difference between PS3 & PS4 is appreciable, but by no means necessary to enjoy the game. The first person and being able to load the entire game on the hard drive without relying on the "game disc" were the big improvements. The PS4 to PS5 is negligible at best. Sitting 6-8 feet from a 50" HDTV you'd be hard pressed to be able to tell which was which. When you're in the game racing around, firing off weapons, etc. you really don't notice the small improvement in shadows. This is of course a cash grab and Rockstar is behaving like the corporate overlords they used to lampoon. The leaks for GTA6 clearly show, whether they were beta or test videos or not, that we've reached the point where graphical fidelity is just not a selling point. GTA5 for PS5/XBoxSeriesX and the upcoming GTA6 will look extremely similar. There's just no more room for improvement....
