LoL, I have a 7 year old low end PC that runs this game at ~ 24 FP/s (1280x720p & Max Settings except Shadow on medium) so it's definitly NOT bad optimized.
After 10 years, the feeling of playing this game in a capable gaming laptop is something else . How great it would have been if this had proper pc port. The graphics of this game is not too outdated it sits in a middle spot with everything else like physics and music just being way ahead of time , so even in 2023 it is a pleasure to play. Game holds up very well
@@plast_cars7471finally someone who has the right priorities, I agree that the 360 version looks better, all the visual elements are so much better on PC, it's what rockstar intended aswell
Excellent test. By the way, you press X to disable the radio, or you could have lowered the music level bar to 0 to disable it altogether. It was funny to see you struggling.
whats the point of benching with the frames capped? and are you using DXVK? or any mods? Did you change anything basically or is it running this smooth just from pure hardware power?

I have a question and I hope somebody can answer it. Does the game runs like this straight from Steam or do I have to use mods? I have a 4090 but not a mod enthusiast, thanks in advance! :)
if they release a remaster/remake of this game, it better be fully optimized and fully moddable. otherwise im not buying it. same for that red dead redemption remaster/remake it better be fully optimized.
I honestly doubt they have any programmers employed that still know the engine, but I'd expect it to run at least as good as GTA IV does now, meaning youll probably still need a crazy pc like this to get a consistent 144fps
@laszlo zsurka I mean from that perspective I guess. But from a technical and practical standpoint again my point still stands, 8k gaming is pointless. 4k with anti aliasing is plenty lol. But I see what you're getting at and I don't disagree.
@@deadspartan7725 8K would have extremely high PPI compared to usual viewing distance. I don’t know if pointless is the right word but the average user likely wouldn’t notice it being 8K.
crazy to think that RDR2 runs better than this mess of a port after all this time. I played it on a gtx 780 back in the day and it was dreadful with the 1% lows in the late stages of the game.
Disable VSync. But having over 60FPS will have some physics and other problems (including the final mission being impossible to finish during the helicopter climbing part), and over 250FPS will make the game logic runs faster than normal (more noticeable with over 300FPS or more, or by comparing the footage with the lower FPS one).
sad that this is a completely literal statement, but the difference is, the games coming out in these recent years, I don't want to play them now.... and I definitely won't want to play them in 15 years. GTA IV, and Attila Total War on the other hand I'll probably still wanna play in 20 years
