I work for a trash company and a couple years ago someone threw out a copy of San Andreas and always wondered if it was the hot coffee version, thanks to this video it’s actually an og copy
There's also another version that have the Hot coffee it's very rare and there's no need to look at it's serial because the game is rated as "Adults Only"
It was temporarily re-rated to AO after the minigame was discovered but its M rating was reinstated after Rockstar scrubbed the minigame in the 2nd edition
Tried to sell my copy around 15 years ago and the employee said he couldn't buy it because it was a "hot coffee" disc. I got the game day one and knew all about the hot coffee stuff, I just wasn't sure how he knew my disc was one with the code still left in just by looking at it, now I know. Saw a disc with big smoke instead of the blonde on it, remembered back to that day so decided to look into it and found this video, thanks for the info!
There is a better way to know. Start the game, go to the nearest Pay N Spray, use the Spawn a Vortex cheat, respray it and exit the vehicle. If it freezes the game, you have the Hot Coffee version, if it doesn't, you have the revision which fixed some stuff besides removing Hot Coffee.
Just checked my childhood copy AND a complete copy I bought later on down the road about 2-3 years ago. BOTH of my discs and cases are the hot coffee ones 😎💪🏻👍🏻
Tbh I'm looking for the older versions for the original soundtracks on the game which I'm sure is the only major differences between the older and newer versions besides the hot coffee code
Same minus PC. But from every release PS2 up to the Definitive Edition Trilogy on BOTH Xbox and PlayStation. PC I have modded copies made from the Rockstar Launcher version, 3 and Vice City YES I actually own the physical PC versions as well, I have complete folders with all my SilentPatch versions (including San Andreas) where I can paste anywhere I want with the game folder, create a shortcut and run it! Modded PC I gave it the PS2 atmosphere again 😎💪🏻
Wouldn't it be easier to just insert the disc to a PC and then open the SYSTEM.CNF on the disc to Notepad and checking what it says? It can be used to confirm it for sure. Of course, PAL region has different revision indicators, but the Notepad trick still applies to confirm it.
I have an OG XBOX copy without "Second edition" written on front cover, and has "M" rating icon. I never how to tell if this is also V1 as I couldn't find the answer through internet forums. I believe that later released copies for the OG XBOX had their content fixed.
Your Xbox copy includes Hot Coffee. This whole issue came out in 2005, the same year GTA SA was released for PC, someone discovered the hidden code and decided to release it as a mod, later it was discovered that the first versions for PS2 and Xbox also included the hidden code. Remember that GTA SA was exclusive to PS2 for a few months and then released for Xbox.
@ghibranurieltolentinoolart6349 Mine is actually an australian release with a MA 15 + exact rating and released in 2005 yet with no "Second edition" printed on front cover. I guess the australian releases are heavily censored thus I cannot find answers over it. I believe the mod was taken out in this release. Maybe this copy I own was in its first days of release in Aust and still has the mode activiated. Eur and Aust regions had received the game for the XBOX on June 10th and the code was discovered somewhere in July.
Well I just found out I recently snagged a hot coffee version! Also, I think there’s a solid chance that my Walmart might’ve sold me one back in 2012 or so. They had it on the shelf marked way down. I never got into the girlfriends that much but I played the game until the disc actually broke so I’ll never know if it was for sure, I do remember having the same issue that I’m having now as any save files from v1 are not compatible with v2 and vice versa.
I just checked my PS2 copy! I officially have the hot coffee version! And I bought it for $20 at a retro game store, I think they sell the original version for hundreds of dollars on eBay though
I was wondering if there is any disc difference between the Matrix Number of the V1.03 version of the NA release vs the ones of the EU release? Anyways great sourcing for looking up the old GTA SA discs. Since the V1.03 had i pretty interesting gang territory duplication bug whenever out of bounds while flying out of the map.
They're the exact same. The only difference between 1.03 EU vs NA is that the EU has 3 more languages in the options menu and it's 50Hz (25fps). There is also the German version which is actually censored. You can't kick people while they're down, blood splatter is gone (but the blood pool remains) and you can't blow off heads.

The discovery exploded into controversy for rockstar by politicians and the gaming industry, ratings board. As a result the game was recalled. The hot coffee mod was removed but some people have mentioned that it seemed other aspects may have been removed as well. NPC dialogue was more raunchy apparently.
@@Osceanix i know abt the hot coffee. I have the 1.0 version on ps2 and managed to unlock that hot coffee aswell. But that npc dialogues, I didnt know they were also on the og version.
If it's not the latest version then I think it does because when Rockstar launched the mobile ports for the 10th anniversary of GTA III. They did removed them

You need a device like a gameshark to access it, it’s hidden on the disc. They didn’t intend for anyone to find it but they could not delete it off the original version of the game.
Using cheats, when it was discovered that the first versions of PS2 and Xbox had the hidden code, a mod was published to access Hot Coffee but it seems that it is no longer available.
Can anyone tell me what hot coffee entails? I've never seen the footage. What's the reward for "completing" it? I know in the game script there is an indestructable toggle, but I don't know if it lasts beyond the "date."
I have 3 copies, 2 og copies and a red lebal greatest hit with the 2nd edition number on the back.. the 1st og was bought back when the game was released for my birthday from my father, thn it got scratched up, so i got another one the next year, that was the red label one thn it managed to get scratched up too, both games start but the ps2 can't read it after awhile, so next in 2011 my younger cousin seen gta sa in a second hand store for $3 and knew i was gonna want it lol that's what he told my mother and he was right, from 2011 up untill now the last gta sa was in my ps3, a it still works in my ps2 I just found in my closet 😂 it has few scratches but it works, also i got the pc gta sa og version earlier this month, so basically i have 3 og copies 😊
I thought the SLUS number indicated thanks. Went to Walmart the day it was released (im 50) and it was already sold out by 10am. Almost panicked. Went to the mall and got a copy and felt like a kid at Christmas. Eventually I gave away my ps2 along with all my games when I got an xbox360. I am hoping to find another original burried in one of hte local hobby shops. I don't care about hot coffee I just want all the original songs and glitches. I always jump on the train instead of following it.
I have a german San Andreas PS2 Disc with FSK16 rating. If you play it with PCSX2 on pc, you can play the hot coffee minigame, but you have to edit your savefile.
It was a mini game in San Andreas that allows you to have actually sex in the game with CJ and his in game girlfriend..it was a hack that someone put in the game codes rockstar had to pull all the first release copy of San Andreas and re-release it

I can see that you have the original version 1.03 of ps2 from Europe Do you still have the ps2 cover for San Andreas with the manual backside below it should have a serial Number I believe you have this one SLES-52541
