Improvements in weather rendering, color correction, textures, added geometry, reflections... - Weather improvements include volumetric clouds, lighting adjustments, snow and even better animations during storms. - Lighting is another of the big changes in the mod. Numerous new light points have been added, as well as emissive materials, turning the night into a totally different game in some shots. - The changes in geometry range from changes in much of the vegetation of the game, to small details such as traffic light buttons. - Reflections have also been improved by increasing the quality of cubemaps reflecting vehicles or buildings and adding SSR reflections on some surfaces such as puddles. - There are other remarkable details, such as the improvement of interiors with parallax occlusion mapping or new animations for clothes or vegetation when the wind is stronger. - Some features of the mod (such as volumetric lighting, clouds or improved asphalt textures) are part of packages that must be installed separately. - It is a very demanding mod. You lose about 50fps on average when all the improvements are activated. You will need a good rig to play it. - One of the best mods I've had the pleasure to try and deserves Rockstar's recognition for this great work.
The mod makes it looks more detailed in some areas, but the original game has an ambiance/atmosphere that fits it so well when associated with characteristics that are closely related to the original art direction, that even with its limitations it still manages to look better at times.
I like everything except for the foggy and stormy weathers. Fog looks so much cooler in the original and the color palette when a storm hits makes the environment feel oppressive like in real life.
I just left a similar comment. Thunderstorm barely even resembles a real, horrific thunderstorm. It looks more like a gentle summer rain with lightnings in the background.
@@lovescars Because i live in a foggy, stormy country and i know how a foggy weather looks in real life and sorry but that is not how it looks when i wake up in the morning and i open my windows. The original does a better job by a lot. That doesn't mean i don't like NaturalVision. I mean, i think it's superior in every aspect, except for the fog and storms.
this is a super rare instance where one of those color adjustment mods actually works instead of just making the game super contrasted with a bunch of "personal preferences" of the mod maker no one asked for
I dislike the removal of fog. LA is one of the smoggiest cities in the world and that fog actually adds to the immersion rather than detracts from it. The rest for the most part looks great!
The glass on some of the buildings look like shiny metal than actual glass. Also the removal of glare on some of the lights like 9:03 looks weird. Stormy weather could look a bit better, or more stormy. Everything else is a huge improvement, especially caustics.
They make privacy mirror tent that reflects things like that... the cube map the building is reflecting is set up rather nicely. The way the environment is warped almost made me think it was screen space or ray traced but the helicopter doesn't reflect.
minimum NVE requirements: video card with 2 GB of video memory processor 4 core 8 GB of RAM (recommended requirements for the original GTA 5) Recommended requirements: video card with 4 GB of video memory or higher processor 6 core or higher 12 GB of RAM or higher
This mod is phenomenal. The work they've put in is fantastic. My personal preference, though, I don't really like how much it cleans it all up. I'm in love with the smog that's in the vanilla game. It brings everything together and it's nice how it reacts to different weather conditions and times of the day. It's removal produces the same cheap effect that troubles the new GTA Trilogy, where objects that are meant to appear really far away, are unmasked to be actually really close, like the Chilliad Mountain in San Andreas.
The mod feels great when it comes to textures and lighting, shadows and reflections, however weather-related phenomena like fog, clouds or water poodles remain better in the original version in my opinion.
A lot of the mod's details that make the game more clear actually make it look worse or more like a video game trying to overdo realism. Like being able to see very clearly in the buildings that have nothing but a texture floating inside. The fog and the air pollution you can actually see from far away like in the original. To each their own I guess.
@@bucketoid6779 It’s not all about reflections, lighting and render distance. Otherwise old and stylized games wouldn’t hold up as well. You can use RTX, but you’ll still have to add your artistic touch to make it all look pleasant.
The mood is better but In night the original is beautiful with stars ,moon, and foggy city , also in storm the original is better except for reflection.
To think I'd see a graphic mod showcase, without any modded car bullsh-t, for once I like it, like showing an actual GTAV "remaster", instead of just graphic mods
I honestly prefer the original atmosphere and color pallete. I feel like the clouds look better and also the fog. The original feels more "realistic" even if not graphically as advanced. It's just more belieavable. The mod also gives this weird vibe many graphic mods that it just feels "broken" and "unstable"
Completely agree with you. And I think what you’re referring to comes from it being a mod using RTX to look more realistic. And while yes reflections and such are physically calculated, it won’t come anywhere near as close to the visuals you’ll get from a team manually colour correcting and modifying every last bit to have a certain aesthetic and look.
@@max.racingso basically lazy UE4 games vibe. Like those UE4 games that heavily rely on premade assets and lightning glued together (which is basically what DE ended up being Lol). Only thing missing is excessive bloom and it would give that exact vibe.
Yes, the mod makes it look more realistic, but one thing I will say, it no longer looks like Los Angeles which of course Los Santos is based on. LA actually has that purplish foggy backdrop that GTA V captured pretty accurately. All the pictures I took when I was there all have a purple looking background. That's totally eliminated here. It now looks like Ohio.
I don't remember if it was this mod or the one called "VisualV", but one of them retextured the cars and billboards to resemble real life, literally, "coke" trucks driving around, a big nike billboard, etc.. Those are example of mods going too far, getting in the way of the original messages instead of improving things. GTAV is a big and stupid parody (for better or worse), if you thrown Nike in there, real cars, etc.. that literally breaks the parody
Maybe it's just me but NVE looks like the art direction Rockstar is taking with GTA 6 if anyone here has seen the game. The textures, world, lighting, and everything just looks more clear. I think NVE does a good job of making things look more clear, it's hard to explain but they do look similar in my opinion. Especially the clouds.
The stunning new GTA 6 trailer clearly demonstrates that leaked footage was very early footage indeed, with assets taken from older games and not indicative of what we will be playing in GTA 6 at all.
Only things I still prefer on original is in general the Skybox and the reflections of the skylines which are less distracting for me, and I don't know but also the terrain I kinda notice more a repeated texture, probably because of a more pop up of colors.👌 All the rest obviously are Huge improvements 🔥🔥🔥
@@crestofhonor2349 and the wierd thing that it does , playing games even from 2015 feels old , but GTA feels good enaugh , not the best , but its very playable ;
@@alaa341g Many games from the early 2000s to me still feel very good to play and out dated. Game design, in terms of character control, hasn't changed much. Also it's not like many games immitate the way GTA feels. I've never felt like 2015 games feel old at all
I think you should keep the abiance and the atmosphere like the fog in some areas or some times, it gives an added sense of realism like the storms which give it an almost realistic depressive look which is akin to real life, but it looks good and detailed.
This mod would be great if it had the fog/smog like the regular game has it's more realistic to what L.A. looks like from someone who lives here. It's kind of funny that they eliminated the stars because that's accurate but then they remove the smog which is baffling.
I really like it the details are crazy good :-) the textures are sweet as hell, damn. There are some minor problems like no stars in the night sky and cloudy weather is sometimes more busy because of chemtrails but everything else is just perfect :-D
"Yeah let's just remove the atmospheric perspective because it makes things look blurrier, surely this will make this 10-year old game look better because you can see things from a distance you otherwise didn't need to!"
I am still impressed with the original one the original one looks more better if we transfer all the textures trees roads reflections everything from NVE to original except for reshade enb. just imagine how it would look with original graphics.
The Foggy weather looks better in the original according to the city ambiance. Also, why is the night sky devoid of stars in Naturalvision? Rest everything is top notch esp. the lighting!
Technically the Natural Vision mod makes the graphics look much better and in some instances it doesn't deviate from the source material that much but the good ol original graphics has a vibe that can't be matched.
I think the natural vision that this graphic mod presents is better, really, the developers did a great job, the graphic mod does show unaltered reality like GTA 5 does and I am referring to the lighting and visualization of the game, this mod gives it a touch of realistic atmosphere, in short this one has it all.
These mods are made by people who have horrible taste, and overdo all graphics effects without any subtlety. In the end you get the same game with no atmosphere and worse performance. Those "ultra realistic" gta4 mods also looked horrible. Removing all distance fog so the whole image looks flat af.
What are half of these people in the comments smoking? There is no way people can actually say that the original looks better. Anybody who's played with this mod on PC knows it's like a night and day difference compared to the original game.
I will say this mod only seems to look good in sunny weather, par for the course with GTA graphics mods. I understand it must be difficult to make good looking weather, but having 'stormy' weather and all the buildings are shining like the sun is beaming doesn't look remotely realistic
if you go back to the original versions its how its still looks, colors are a lot more vivid, for some reason they downgraded it when they launched it on one/4/PC
These new textures look great but as someone who lives in the LA area the skyline actually does have a distinct haze to it. Art directors probably kept that look for realism, look up “aerial perspective”.
Doesn't look better nor worse. It just looks different. Although I love the foggyness on the original. At least in my country cities look like that during hot days
0/10. The streets at night weren't permanently soaked in 18 inches of water, as if Los Santos was under a Monsoon warning. Also I didn't see a SINGLE Lamborghini mod for people to screenshot and use as thumbnails for gameplay of GTA 6. Unrealistic. Will be avoiding this mod.
Nice mod, some things are better on the original while some are better on the mod, like the glass of the skyscraper is better in the original than on the mod, however the rain, storm, lightning and fog is so bad on the mod, the original is soo much better but in all nice mod
I preffer the original "color correction". The original game is more yellow, more warm, is better to look at. The collor correction in the mod changes to blue tones, which makes my eyes tired and and kinda dizzy.
i hate how every modder that "improves" graphics forget one thing, the art of the game, i never like how they do stuff like raise saturation to the point everyone looks like Trump, or do stuff like get rid of fog, it makes the game look so much smaller, otherwise natural vision has done amazing work on what they've achieved, the textures, lighting, foliage & sky work is AMAZING, i just have a gripe on how modders do some personal creative changes that can hinder the original style
My problem with these mods is that they compensate for the fact that San Andreas is too small, the draw distance takes away the sense of scale when everything is in clear detail. In other words, breaking the immersion.
This mod is good for everything else other than the rain and the stormy weather. It has barely any rain and the thunderstorm doesn't have that depressive mood that the vanilla game has. Rainy weather looks "flat" and boring, with a few droplets of rain here and there.
The same if you dont use ENB. Reflections are SSR. If you want to have everything at ultra with ultra ENB, you will be looking at around 4k30 on a RTX 3090
@@DTunezOfficial 4K 30 is bad especially in a game like this. 1440 60 would be a better alternative. Indeed, the reflection from the glass building looked weird.
no smog in a city this size is unrealistic; some of the lighting changes don't look better, just different; the clouds move way too fast; foggy weather isn't even foggy; barely any puddles during storms; usual SSR artifacts; weird shiny buildings; some of the new textures look good at least
i dont feel like this mode really makes graphics better. it makes it just different, that's all. the only exception is a few texturesб but you will lose the vibe, so it doesnt worth it
I think no matter how clear or better the details look in the mod. has no soul. So the city is more lively in the original. The eye completes the blur in the distance.
Some of these texture mods eliminated artistic details only Rockstar would bother doing, like the disgusting water pools from sidewalks. Other ones eliminated sharpness, making it look like some indie game made yesterday. Natural Vision only would impress me if weather wasn't to be affected, because there is reason why there is fog and clouds.
