That 1978 Ridgeway is absolutely beautiful. Would love to hear it chime and strike. I see you also have the Howard Miller Stratford with the nickel finish and black numerals. I almost purchased that exact clock but realized it would be "overpowering" in our modest home. I've never seen one on video. Only pictures. We settled for the Howard Miller Nielson. You have a beautiful selection of clocks.

I don't mention prices because, we are limited by the manufacturer on what we can show online. The video is for our customers to see what we carry in the store.Your right you can buy the run of the mill models with the hermle chain drive movement for cheap. That's not what we specialize in. We sell new clocks, but our antique and used clocks are unique hard to find models. We carry a couple chain drives on the floor to stat in a budget friendly price point. Also all of our clocks that have hermle movements have had new movements put in to ensure long lasting running. New movements are brand for brand and model for model replacements.
Your prices are certainly not expensive for the amazing quality of those beautiful clocks! If anything, I’d say they are relatively inexpensive, especially when you consider they will last for many years. My favourite is the one with the light oak case at 9:03.
I remember the first grandfather clock I took apart I was probably six I got in trouble my punishment was put it back together and I did so I started working in a old man's clock shop and loved I haven't worked on one since I was a boy I was good at it
I love those silvered dials, weights and pendulums. I'm not a fan of gold/brass. You don't sound like a salesman--that's a compliment. You sound like a guy who actually knows about these clocks and isn't just BS-ing.
The 6 tube hall clock was made by Charles Jacques of New York, working with Bawo & Dotter or Geo. Borgfeldt & Company. I've done many studies on these clocks and have documented a nearly identical model. Jacques used specially made German movements - the 6 tube models will play Trinity or Westminster chimes and strike the hour on a chord of tubes. Very nice!
Beautiful Clocks for sure, the three features I wanted my clock to have was Roman Numeral over Western Arabic, Moon dial at the top and lighting in the cabinet. Mine is a Schneider 87 German made clock.

I picked up a chain driven Hermle movement grandfather clock for fifty dollars ad put30 dollars into it ,(TOP GLASS AND LOCK MECHANISM), it keeps time almost perfectly...... So any one interested just look because there were and are literally millions of these out in the world today . Good hunting.

I need a little help please. I have always wanted a grandfather clock but i am a very low fixed income handicapped granny.i was given a grand father clock. It seems to be a less costly made one , but well it's mine now. Problem being the things that hang down such as the weights and pendulum are not connected to the rest of the clocks mechanisms. If i take a picture of the clock, a close up of the clock face and the other parts can some one tell my electrically knowledgeable friend how to correctly put it back together please. Or which company made it so i can get help from them.????
On new clocks we ship within the continental United States. The vintage and antique clocks pose a problem as shipping becomes pretty expensive, by the time you create and ship, it is usually cost prohibitive.

What would you guys say is one of the best brands? If someone is giving me one, would I be able to manage this thing? Someone doesn’t want a clock and I’ve always wanted one but I’m intimidated by them. I do not know the first thing about them and want to know if they are a lot of trouble.
Really it is not 1 particular brand that is better, it has a lot to do with the quality of the particular model and when it was made. Typically clocks made pre 2000 will be of better quality to similar trim level clocks produced today. So look up the Howard Miller majestic, when I look up the broadmour this is the clock I see in the photos. If the broadmour is the same as the majestic then it’s a well made model. Companies like Amazon and Clockway and others like them sell Millers clocks using different names than the actual names given to the models by Howard Miller. As far as ease of ownership, they are easy to care for, hire a professional to set it up and service it. Then make sure they go over how to wind and operate all the functions. It’s very straight forward.
It's a sales tactic that has been used for 1,000's of years. If they state a price then they are held to it. This Way They Can Dictate The Price Depending On Mood/Need, Supply and Demand.
@Colin Charmley the westminster chimes were first used at cambridge where they were originally known as the cambridge chimes and then they were used for the clock at the houses of parliament
