As a millennial who grew up eating and cooking the traditional banana pudding, I just wanna say that sis and her knife do not speak for all of us! 😂 And how do you not layer it???
When everyone tried Mimi’s and they just shut their eyes and sighed full of comfort 😂 I just knew she had it😂 it sent them all back to childhood or happier times
I'm a natural hair gen-z lady. I have a question though, why don't you guys like lace fronts? I'm not into fake hair either, but I was just wondering what you guys mean lol.
She should've used a rolling pin to crush her cookies, that was seriously dangerous. Be careful next time Ms ! Oh, by the way, the soggy cookies are THE BEST part.
@@maincoasters& if they didn’t do it y’all would be saying there wasn’t enough representation. 🥴 You want allies & equality but then cause a fuss over a white person (who could be mixed!) creating more division.
I'm a millennial and I know how banana pudding is supposed to taste, like grandma's. Who in their right mind wants crunchy banana pudding. It's supposed to be soft.
Exactly!!! My mom would side eye people who didn’t make their warm pudding from scratch on the stove and bake a meringue on top then chill it (even though it could be served warm). We losing so many of our real recipes.
If she remixed her with the vanilla wafers & layered them in.. she might’ve had a fighting chance 😂 I just think those square cookies suit the other community better 😅
For me, whether you use cookies or waffers or whatever doesn't matter. Mix and layer them into the pudding!!! They are there to provide texture and contrast, so that you aren't just eating mushy sugar paste all the way. Mixing the cookies and the pudding is the genius part of the recipe
Gen z here! Loooooveeee the traditional way! My grandma uses the box mix for pudding but omg the way her banana pudding taste I could eat a whole deep dish of it!❤
Chiiiiile nana pudding is like tata salad. You gotta come with it. If you come away from the classic recipe, at least make your own pudding. Lol when Mimi slid the other pudding aside 😂😂😂
@SoBeSuchin lol friend, I was done at shortbread cookies, and instant pudding. The only thing she did right was incorporate the pudding with the whipped cream. But at least she tried 😂
Everyone seemed to enjoy both banana puddings, and I would, too. But it seems to be a battle of Cool Whip vs. packaged instant pudding, vanilla wafers vs. Chessmen. A radical new recipe would have made everything from scratch.
I love Mimi, I kept rewatching the first 45 seconds😂😂. Buuuutttttt I’m millennial (30) and I’ve been making banana pudding from scratch since I was 17. With layers and with vanilla wafers 😅
Chessman are cute for presentation but it doesn’t beat the nostalgic taste of vanilla wafers in banana pudding.. gotta add some in there with the chessman for that taste.. Signed a millennial who makes banana pudding lol
See that's why I love Ms. Mimi she can dish it and take it. And even though shots were fired she's still willing to teach but also learn from the younger generation.
Honestly Ms. Mimi ain't lying. First time I made banana pudding I did it from scratch and it really isn't that difficult. I made too much banana pudding for the number of guests but it was still delicious.
She put water in the instant pudding. WHAT? HUH? She ain't a millennial. She sounds like a Gen Zer. Also, she made Magnolia Bakery style banana pudding. So I'm sure it sucks.
Hey don’t blame us Gen Zers for that atrocity 😭😭. I feel like we’re 0 or 100 like we do ramen or we go all out on a super insane recipe we found on RU-vid 💀
Who tf wants crunchy banana pudding? As a millennial I layer the cookies and it has to sit overnight at a minimum to soften the cookies and marry the flavors together. Homegirl was trippin...
