I'm the guy that posted this video 1.5 years ago. I just logged back in for the first time and discovered 170 comments.... I had no idea. I did NOT want to sell it. We moved to Europe, and I was forced to... along with the Ducati in the garage. To all the folks that left nice comments.... thank you. I listed it on ebay with no reserve, and it did sell, not for very much... about $1400 if I recall. I knew it wasn't a particularly valuable car, so.... it is what it is. Hopefully the new owner cares for it. I really love all the hater comments from the faceless keyboard warriors too.... those are fun.... lol. Life just isn't complete unless you can get online and bash a stranger..... as long as you can still hide in mommy's basement, and not have to actually confront someone face to face, right? Lol. Typical. I'll see if I can answer a few of the "hater" comments in one shot; 1. I wasn't price gouging. I listed it at no reserve. I would have taken $200 for it if that's all it sold for. 2. Yes, it was my grandmothers car. The story was 100% true. 3. It was not perfect, nor did I ever claim it was. I think I did a pretty good job disclosing everything it needed. It was however, the cleanest one I'd seen in years. 4. To the troll that called me a "disgusting leach that is so sentimental about his grandma's money". (That was my favorite - LOL). If $1400 is considered "a lot of money" for a car.... perhaps you should get off the internet and get a job?
I do wish that the new Cadillac’s of today 2019, were designed like this beautiful Cadillac. With all the latest technology in a car of this design, I believe that they would sell like hot cakes.
I agree my grandmother still has her 1992 that my grandfather bought for her in 1993. When I first got my driver's license back in '98 she let me drive it. Boy I loved Cadillacs even more after that. Back in 2014 when I was living in Florida I took a road trip to surprise her in Philadelphia. Avis gave me a new 2014 Cadillac XTS. Although it was a sharp car the ride comfort was nothing like my grandmother's '92. Shoot even when I was a kid in the 80s. My grandparents '85 & 86 Devilles felt smoother. I still love the design of the newer caddies of today but build quality and comfort aren't the same
@@ms90sbabyy Sir hopefully your comment was given for your amusement. Those of us older Americans are quite familiar with the term. (Sell like Hotcakes) quips like those remind of us of a more simple time in the country.
This is one of the best cars ever made I own one and I cried today I let it go just a really good car really reliable enough power beautifully designed with the air ride makes it ride like it's on clouds this is one of the best cars ever made by Cadillac in my opinion
ABSOLUTELY loving the car. I'm legit fan boying on this car for like 7 years, since I was 9, and oh boy, seeing it in this condition does put a tear into my eye.
For sitting for six years that thing cleaned up really well! I'm buying an '85 pretty soon that's been sitting for a few years with the drivers window rolled down. It's still pretty nice inside though.
a late friend of mine in dunellon fl had a 92 like this . when i visited him many years ago we took long rides in it and he let me drive it too . it was a real joy to drive and very luxorious. such a pity they dont sell them over here in the netherlands. i would buy one in a heartbeat.
The 4.9 is one of Cadillac’s greatest engines. I have a 91 Eldorado with the 4.9 in it. 2 years so far with regular fluid checks and flushes, zero problems
I'm jealous. Have always wanted a '91 Biarritz but the only one for sale I was ever able to look at had 260,000 miles. Still ran good and burned/leaked no oil. I have a '91 FWD Fleetwood coupe with the 4.9. Bigger and probably uses more gas.
I had an 88 Seville that I bought new and then traded it in on a 91 which was the last smaller Seville. Both had the 4.9 engine and both of them were capable of leaving plenty of cars in the dust.
Beautiful Caddy. I was lucky to find one in a barn a few weeks ago sigh 31,268 miles. Funny, grandpa backed into something and I am as excited as can be.
I hope you found a buyer who appreciated the condition and the story behind the car, they were beautiful cars, my sister and brotherinlaw had an 89 , just beautiful, long gone now, so sorry about your grandmother :( Best wishes
Like a classic car, even though it's not that old. 28 years old. Love that story of how it reminds him of his grandmother who passed away after being in a nursing home for 6 years.
Thanks for keeping this video up. I needed to know the number on the Medallion. I could see its a 1. I almost bought a 7, but there is also a 1 available. So thanks, evidently the first series of the CADILLAC HERITAGE OF OWNERSHIP GRILLE MEDALLION GOLD.
My grandma had a white 92 with navy blue leather. Simply the coolest car. They let me sit in the car and pretend I was driving it when I was younger. My mom used it for a short time in 2006 and that’s the last time I remember seeing the car. I was about to turn 15 and really wanted it for myself!
Nice Cadillac, always did like the 89-93 Deville. Good reliable engines, nice V8 torque, big but still easy to park, lots of room, drove/handled nicer than the old RWD boats, looks like a proper Cadillac. This is what should have came out for 1985 when they downsized the Deville. Typical GM it took them a few years to get it right.
That’s actually a really good radio. You had it on AM instead of FM. The AM tuner, however is C-QUAM AM stereo. There’s not too many AM stations broadcasting in that format these days.
My best friend's Mom had a light blue '90 Sedan DeVille growing up with the 4.5 liter alloy block/iron head V8 and it was THE quietest and most comfortable car I have ever been in. They simply do not build cars that ride like this anymore. The DeVille of this genre was famous for the 43 inches of rear seat leg room which was the most of ANY car sold in America throughout the 90s! It was literally like a limo in the back. The more rare Coupe DeVille 2-door was on a shorter wheelbase and had "only" 40" of rear legroom. 35"-36" is considered very roomy so 40"+ was ridiculous!
I own a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Over 200 miles and still runs great , these big body caddy's should come back Lakelamd.fl. that's between Kissimmee and Orlando
I paid $2800 for a pristine one of these with gold package and carriage top, with 91k. Still drove like new to 161k, and only added $90 air lift bags in rear springs. Gimpy light switch, blower- defrost system and radiator, plus shattered left front fender by deer made me park it behind horse barn. Kept it because I wanted it for parts as I always wanted another. Insurance totaled it out at $2000. Fantastic comfortable, easy driving car. My next cars of '97, '98 devilles, then a '04 suburban not as nice. Had a bullet proof engine, before the northstar mess.
I've owned 2 of these Caddies. Love them! Just to give my input, that plastic bumper in the back just likes to crack (Both of mine did and I never hit anything.). Also, the side panels are screwed on because the plastic clips holding them on loosen/break and I've never found replacement ones (A 10 cent screw can easily solve the problem, which I did for one car). That car is in beautiful shape and $1500 is a steal, especially in this market.
This color is officially known as Phonecian Ivory. The Phonecian Ivory/Phonecian Ivory combo was a mainstay at Cadillac from the 70's through the 90's.
Crazy, leaving a car outside through the seasons. Most likely it has cylinder corrosion damages and that might soon be noticeable even if it’s not there yet. I’ve seen it in engines parked as little as six months. Engine conservation oil is the trick.
I remember these Cadillac's which I liked back then. Car is more simple than the high tech cars of today even my 2006 Lincoln Town Car is simple as cars should be & not high tech.
Damn I would have paid $3000 easy very beautiful car all the chrome looks great I'm about to pick up a 92 coupe deville for $500 all it needs is new tires and I have myself I pretty nice ride
These weren't bad cars. Just not Cadillacs. Cadillac pretty much ended with the last rear-drive Fleetwood, though the Eldo and Seville soldiered on fairly well for a while longer.
Wow. Amazing car. I had a 93 with 75k miles. I sold it last year and I have regretted that sale. I want it back so bad. How much did this sell for? Wow enjoy Belgium! What a move!
This is the best years 91-93 for these full size fwd devilles... proportions are perfect, the fwd fleetwood looked off with the skirts, made it a bit less athletic looking... i had a champagne colored 91, no special edition, but fully loaded with tan leather and digital dash... very smooth powerful car with the most desirable 4.9L non Northstar, very study set up... feels as powerful as a supercharged 3.8 of same era GM but much smoother. I purchased mine with 129k and was hit in front, only damage was headlight grill and bumper which i bent out and replaced. I had perfect paint and exact options to yours (gray cladding and no vinyl top) i did have the digital dash and tan leather which was very pretty, same carpet at dash pad... mine was smoked in but, jept very clean you would never know except the headliner fell half way back and the rear seat was perfect except for two baseball mitt sizes melted spots... i was told a rogue cigarette was tosed out and sucked back in just like trains plaind and automobiles! Andcaught on fire. Lol... My only complaints with the car which felt like a vault was the A/C -heating set up... i live the in Ohio/Mich area and the heater only has vents for defroster and below... i like heat blowing on me directly and this car was designed for the A/C to do so, not heat... I will say the yellow on yellow is very desirable as is the hardtop version as they are cleaner looking... i put deville chrome 16 wheels on mine (the silver platter looking ones) which really made the car... i was quite fond of her, but my wife wasn't with the tiny rear window she hated the visibility so i let her go, my pink Cadillac... thanks for the fond memories of one of my bucket list babies - my 91 Cruella DeVil
I would of put the in storage and get it after a few months And find a way to ship it to Belgium great car I was born in 1985 so when i was growing I seen Older Couple Buying 1991 Cadillacs I got to the point I was counted 15 cars in my town of Crosby mn
Question of the day is how much are you asking ? I know how much I think it's worth nut reality is that as outstanding this car is that you need a particular buyer for a decent price. I found my cousin a 92 exactly in the same condition , just perfect and got it for $1400 . But I believe it's worth at least $4k but I don't think you will get that
