That’s why Eminem always mentioned the old pioneers. He doesn’t what to be the face of hip hop. He just wants to be respect.

Exactly, from the lyrics, to the interviews to his shirts he wears to his concerts. Everyone needs to watch his crooked I interview. He says he doesnt want to be labeled "king" but aside from that, it's just a dope interview that really shows his passion for hip hop if no other interview has done that.

don't need to. It's better to listen to thousands of MCs to diversify ones' musical scope than to just one dude that a bunch of hip hop outsiders exalt.

@@koguma.newyork1 Even if that’s the case, if you haven’t heard much of Em then judging his talent and skill against others is a moot point. I’m not saying you have to know every album but if all you can name is a few singles then you really don’t know enough about the artist to make that assessment. I don’t care for e-40 but I also haven’t heard enough of his music to judge him against others. So I wouldn’t throw him in that conversation. Hip hop will forever be known as black music, and eminem does his best to make that fact be known every chance he gets. Theres just no valid reason to hate eminem, hes incredibly skilled, paid his dues, shows massive respect to those before and after him, and hes just a genuine dude. I guarantee anyone who truly hates eminem are those who factor in race which eminem has no control of.
@koguma.newyork1

wrong. You eminEM fans get so lost trying to defend him because he is white and disregard the fact that people genuinely do not have to like him. When people say they don't like your hero, you start splainin and crying about how it's not fair. The reason to hate him is not valid to you because you love him but people who don't need not have the same opinion.

Eminem wouldn't want that. I was raised in housing projects. I remember break dancing on cardboard in front of my house with a boom box blasting the furious five. Kids today don't know what a boom box is. They don't care to learn the history of hip-hop. God bless those who made it possible for MCs to do what they do today. Real hiphop heads know and love you.

7:25 a thousand other mcs that are JUST AS good, ha ha ha.... yeah I'm sure you can find thousands who can do all the things EM does on a mic, nah. You're lucky if you can find one other MC that can do that. I'm talking about all that EM does in one package, and at the same level of skill, if you think there's thousands of rappers that can do that.... oh man, you're out of touch to say the least. I don’t see him really like wanting to join in the culture that much anymore. I don’t think he considers himself part of the culture. He pretty much always knew his place early on. It’s in all his music .. I noticed he doesn’t really deal that much he might drop but he doesn’t attend like 50th anniversary or not asking you guys to hang out with anybody in the game so it is what it is never really considered culture and I don’t think he considers himself culture I don’t think his fans do anymore either.

the fact that any white rappers received an inkling of success was largely due to the dominant society who prop them up; but since eminEm has a huge african and caribbean (not American Black) following, plus affiliated with dr. dre, he gets to be the biggest name.
