If you would , Please let him know that he has inspired me and many others to become better woodworker and to use traditional methods where we can !! We appreciate watching all of these and learn something different in each one Thank You so very much !!!!
Grandpa you are so creative. The rocking chair looks great.God bless you.loved the way your grandson was trying to imitate your work by putting leg on bamboo and trying to cut it.👌👌
@@mailbox8958 I had hoped that was the case. Culturally, there are many differences between the Chinese and Americans, and I think there is going to be some perceptions that one or the other is rude or crass...but I think most people are well-intended. If we take the time to understand cultural idiosyncrasies, there'd be less of that issue, but it could take time to bridge that gap. Regardless, I like to read that there are those who do not support the Chinese government. I hope the Chinese people are able to get Xi out and get the leadership that China deserves.
@@jw11432 Thank you for your words, really appreciated, Actually The CCP(Chinese Government) was totally a extraneous thing to China, it was a branch of the Soviet Union, It was not designed or based on Chinese culture, they learned everything from them and unfortunately they took over. then they want to form a new culture which has no religions no beliefs no honesty no mercy and only obey. lies and violence and education (brain wash) are their methods to keep control, that's also why they conducted the "cultural revolution", Countless great masters were killed or imprisoned or expelled and never dared to say anything afterwards, that was a huge and irreversible damage to the culture which Chinese people spent Thousands of years to build, and the revolution is not yet finished, so many people in China still get imprisoned for political reasons every day. Without them China would be a totally different country and you could see kind and traditionally beautiful people everywhere, and people in the world would love the country or at least, be a good friend. As a Chinese, I dream about that sometimes.
Bamboo is actually a cooling material. I remember when I was in China, when summer comes account we would place bamboo mats on our beds to sleep on. Very cooling. Some families have bamboos beds and day beds. Everything was so affordable then 🤦♀️
He is a master! I would love to learn from him. Greetings from USA. Love watching your videos! I love learning different techniques from all over the world. You truly are a master at your craft sir!
If they ever make a Gilligan's Island movie, they need to cast grandpa as the Professor. No lie, this guy really can build anything out of bamboo and wood. Mind blown once again.😁 👍👍👍👍👍
Just watching this video makes me wonder why we humans have such problems finding more harmony and contentment in 'simpler' things. Glorious video and excellent craftsmanship which it is sheer joy to watch!
thank you family Amu for showing us the techniques of a skilled woodworker , every day I get to see new ideas and crafts as well as we get to see the progressions of the day to day , very thankful you take time to share .
That's wonderful! Between the new big workbench, the bridge, the Landscaping, the pond... You are making a wonderful place to spend time! And your grandson is getting so big and talking so well!
@@beyondreamtime420 yeah, I see that many Chinese items are cheap and people complained of how the items aren't durable enough. I mean, if people want more durable items, buy more expensive things.
@@user-md2ds2qh5i common senses is not common any more. People these day only know how to complain. Living happily in their imagination world and complain reality due to so muck time have invested on their own internet world.
My grandpa was also a lifelong carpenter. I don't have many memories of him, but it was amazing to watch him work. One time, I watched him construct a basic porch (maybe 5'x8', perhaps a little bigger) in about 30 mins, by himself, making his cuts with a small chainsaw with just one hand. The cuts were good too, it didn't look all haphazard.
This man's masterful skills and creativity are unworldly. His creations, using modest primitive hand tools, are short of miraculous. I can not get enough of watching him work. Every one of his videos are awe inspiring and have me completely and totally captivated.
Grandpa you are true happiness, I was always happy as a young boy to watch my Grandpa working in his shop and I learned so much most of all the joy of making things may God always bless you my friend.
Is some People are wondering why he’s putting the sand or dirt in the bamboo it’s the same thing you do with PVC pipe to keep it from bending or creasing when you bend it so that it stays round after you heat it and bend it you won’t have a flat spot in your bamboo oh and also used in bending copper also
We are watching these videos, and it is safe to assume that we are all younger than he , so he is passing on these skills to us. Your hopes are fulfilled.
Very very good that looks so comfortable 👍👌and another thing I think of grampa allmost everyday he is a grampa from another country .in other words we love him and his family .godbless
It is always such a pleasure to watch Grandpa Amu at work, his easygoing and beautiful music make his videos so very relaxing. Thanks for sharing this video with me.
I grew up watching the uncles and neighbors making things around the house just like this. It is so part of my memory. So glad that people in the model world appreciate this form of art again.
I see your videos from Spain. I love them they are very nice to see. I have not met my grandparents, they died before I was born. But if I could choose to have a grandfather, I would surely choose that he be like you. a big hug 😄👍👍👍

Skilled grandpa.. Last scene of grandchild swinging the chair and happiness on his face...child sitting on it enjoying the fishing is worth million dollars....priceless.reminds me of the beautiful moments I spent with my grandpa...love.
wow what a wonderful building material is bamboo, and what a craftsmanship i try to making it from green birch in a simulair way, not that my skillset are on your level. and i will use modern tools, but it fits so perfect in what we do here. such a shame we have no mamboo.
I love everything about this video, it's so organic, reminds me of my birth place. GOD BLESS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING. The best way to stay safe and go organic.
AMU, simplesmente “O MESTRE”, magnífico seu trabalho, remete aos tempos antigos esse método de fábricação, estão se perdendo pouco a pouco as raizes! Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
Sir, So happy to see you making your own sling chair and your resting on your handful art. Intelligent making...I am proud to see your hard work. Lovely art. WISHES.
I am awestruck. I believe Grandpa Amu can build anything. Many years ago there used to be a store here in America that sold a lot of rattan, wicker and bamboo furniture and other Asian items. Nothing they carried was made with such precision and care.
