I would have made it to his funeral by all means necessary to pay my last respect to a very GREAT HUMAN BEING. Unfortunately, I did not hear of his passing till 6 months later. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Goodbye Papa Don the greatest COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER ever.
I felt very sober and shed tears like I lost my biological father. Don Williams, you are a worldwide father that would be missed forever. Your soothing music is a lifetime legasy. RIP.

PEOPLE LISTEN TO THE SERVICE!!THIS IS NOT THE DON WILLIAMS SINGER,HE WAS NOT 97 YEARS OLD!!!(7.23) THE PAST 97 YEARS?DON THE SINGER WAS 78 YEARS OLD WHEN HE DIED!!!PLUS HE DIED IN 2017,NOT 2016 WHEN THIS AIRED!!!
Here's a blues song I wrote.....Have you ever went to the grave yard and watched a widow weep......And felt the spirit of sadness slowly creep......Over the souls of those standing by.....as they hang their heads and cry.......Now she placed a rose on his coffin as he stood there in black.....A tear rolled down her cheek, cause she knew her man wasn't coming back.......Now we all have our hero's and hers is dead and gone...And Tomorrow she will be facing life without him all alone, all alone.....This is only part of the lyric's...but I got this idea after watching Nancy Reagan grieving over her husband Ronald Reagan;s coffin. She placed a solitary rose on his coffin and wept profusely , while hugging the coffin of her beloved husband. What grief she felt that day...of course since then she too has passed. But looking at funerals some times sparks the urge to write a song. At times I have been through grave yards looking for a loved one's grave and actually seen people bowed down weeping over a lost loved one. And that too inspired me to write a song.
Does the dead hear? I guess they do since you wrote what you did,,,,always been self centered and when you die your long gone and in five years you will not remember that Don Williams existed unless by chance you hear song of his,,,,and then " Oh I remember Don Williams I really used to like him ". And yes on Don Williams death comments yeah for me ain't I great woo hoo
His songs, like many of us, is forever a warm reminder of a part of our life and family. My mom and dad, my father-in-law.. .takes you right back....rip Don, see you in the new system! Wait...is this the singer Don Williams???
It wasnt Don Williams funeral its from a military that died at the age of 97 years old Don died with 78 years old....RIP whoever it was although the name was the same but definitely not the country singer...God bless u all....
This was not Don Williams (Country Singer) Funeral. This man had daughters and lots of grandchildren. They gave the flag to one of the daughters- not his wife. If you listen to the whole thing, nothing matches OUR Don Williams.
The year it's posted is a year before he passed away. Don't create misleading titles like this, especially when it's the funeral of the late great Gentle Giant.
If this is not THE Don Williams, then who is it? And why would it be on Facebook? The pastor does say this man is 97 and he would have to say something about his music career, but doesn't. I do know this is a military funeral as well.
We learned the sad news. It is a very painful moment for which we would like to offer you our affection and our support. May your heart regain peace and serenity. We think of you and your family. We affectionately
So many of the greatest artists of my lifetime have come and gone. Don William's was and will always be one of my favorites. Each song he sang told a story, one from his heart. I pray for comfort for his family and close friends and am so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed. 🌹❣️
