THE LAST SONG OFF OF A MODERN TRAGEDY VOLUME 3 This one was actually one of the first ones we had done, but i knew it had to be the last song on the project, because unlike the other songs on the project that flirt with nihilism, that tempt you with giving up, this one is unapologetically defiant. We through a little curveball at the end of the song as a way of showing love to all the international grandkids-can't wait to play the outro live in other parts of the world fuck everybody trying to silence the truth. it will be set free. in this life or another. I hope you enjoy xx
Being able to support you since vol. 1 of this series, sitting in the hospital and streaming the release of vol. 2, and finally seeing the final of vol. 3 is amazing. I will always support your music, your message, the truth you speak. Hope to catch a concert in the future, keep being amazing xx
grandson every single one of your songs are amazing, and every time they speak the truth, can’t wait to go see you live, missed last time you came to Montreal but next time I’ll be there and for all the other times
Because that’s what the worlds coming to. It’s getting more and more violent, and he uses the worlds problems as inspiration so when the problems get more violent, so do his songs
The musical and lyrical style is the same (trap vibes, heavy bass, strong chords after each chorus, beat drops) but each song does this in a unique way depending on tone, topic, and lyric choice. Very good, recognizable, and all around the music goes HARD. grandson pops OFF :DDD
i think people saying he "predicted the future" with this song didn't hear the line "it's the same shit, just a different year". this has always been happening. every year it's nothing new. the thing is that this year you're paying attention
@@amaneyugi171 Well it was lucky and unlucky for some of us I'm sure. Like me, this album came out but it released while my mom's apartment complex was on fire
@@colindenny1236 It's more than just dissing rightists it just states America in general, I hold more right leaning ideals yet I still love and listen to his music because it just tells the truth and holds the art of rebellion in it. Since overdose I was caught by Grandsons lyrics.
I'm noticing several lyric parallels to "Stigmata". A few examples: Stigmata: The truth won't die when they pull that trigger Die Young: If I die young, then the truth is forever Stigmata: I walk through the valley where the snakes, they slither Die Young: When you're walking on the path, better watch out for the snakes
I've just realized the kid is lying down, explaining the position of the rifle. This makes the image a whole lot darker, as the strange ruffles of the flag indicate that it's covering a casket. I love it.
I will always go back to this song every time something injustice happened whether it is in my country or others. It reminds me that we can't do much unless we start being loud and clear to the authorities and the line "If I die young the truth would be forever" have so much power that people don't really give credit for and i think the part where he sang "The coming revolution would be digital" reminds me so much of CCP/America/any government tbh censoring a lot of things from video games to movies to anything really
@@blackcoffee6923 That sorta reminds me of Snowden, the true patriot who exposed the american government for spying on innocent people who is believed to live in Russia
I swear the instrumental is so sinister sounding I love it. Like when the drop happens that metal against metal sound is so eerie on top of the slowed down rattlesnake sound behind it is so badass
@Bri Uruchurtu I'm not exactly near any of the protests, being from a random town in Connecticut. But if one ever shows up around me, I'm sure as hell going and playing his music.
@Bri Uruchurtu I played that song! I didn't go to the protests (there's no way my parents would actually let) so I just played both of these songs at max volume while riding my scooter around my community.
The fact the when the beat drops there are gun shot from an AR (probably) that is just so good plus the fact that he is so aggressive in this song is amazing and the lyrics are really something that other music artist would never dare to say
keit yeah so am I, why does it matter? So are the next 999,999 people you’re not special for listening to someone before they became more famous than they already are. Please grow up
His Lyrical Composition is comparable to Rage Against the Machine in the 90's-00's. An Artist that is sick of what is going on in this world and finally speaking up about it. You have captured my attention!!! Cant wait to see you tomorrow with Imagine Dragons!
Grandsons music is the the sole inspiration for a new graphic novel I want to start working on. His sound is literally the audio incarnation of the aesthetic I want for it, if that makes sense 😁
