@@Dgjserffftin earlier seasons, specifically 1&2 and in his arrow appearences before the show he was pretty dang good and pretty well written. The decline in writing is not his fault or responsibility
So is John Wesley Shipp. I was glad to see him as Barry’s dad in the show and the return of Mark Hamill as The Trickster. Amanda Pays as Tina McGee was also a great plus.
Grant Gustin is the ONLY reason anyone has continued watching the show in its later seasons. An absolute 100% carry, along with the occasional appearance of the Reverse Flash
Even when reverse flash popped up more people just shitted on him, Grant carried super fucking hard and you could tell he was tired of it, when Iris “died” bro didn’t even shed a tear like he did in season 3 😂
If you ask me I think they oversed Reverse Flash in the later seasons. Season 1 he needs to be in cause the plot revolves around him and Barry, seasons 2 to 4 prime examples of how the show didn't need him that much, season 5, aside from the stuff that he gets Nora into he's not really essential, season 6 again he wasn't really used like 2 to 4, and from 7 onward his appearances just increased
@@morris01in the last 2 seasons yeah. but S1-S5 it really was a FLASH show. S6-S7 was a Flash and Friends show. but S8-S9 was mainly about the side characters because grant was there as much
Also The Flash show has actual Flash villains to go against Barry instead of villains from other heroes like General Zod. Was hoping for an actual live action The Flash movie.
I really like Grant. He’s a great actor and he sang very well in Glee. His first appearance on the show was actually one of my favorite episode on the show.
@@nickburns1455 I've heard that wasnt actually Teddy Sears, just happened to look like him. And honestly even though he was Zoom he was a great Jay so I wouldnt be opposed to that version existing... Its just John Wesley Shipp is better
@@jacobcenter7374 agreed.. either way how they gonna disrespect grant like that he is a big reason Barry Allen is as popular as he is.. and John Wesley shipp is great to. Just seemed they didn’t pay respect where it’s due
@@slade6959 honestly I'd readily believe that. As much as I want to see Grant again at some point, making him the Flash of a new DC universe would be really strange since he'd have to be a new version of the character rather than the one he's already played.
@@Flash_Biggest_Hater…. Does it surprise you to see that the film industry is corrupt? After everything that happened over the past few years. Its less about skill and more about who’s willing to feed people’s ego.
@@tylerclarke4829last few years? This has been going on for ages my friend. They just can’t hide it like they use because someone always has a camera rolling.
I just googled it and Grant Gustin is only 33 he could definitely play the flash. (I say this because most people say the reason why actors like henry were cut was due to wanting younger actors to play the roles) Or they could just use wally (orange hair)
Grant is and will always be 'The Flash' for me, the series was so good and I loved watching it with my mom everytime there would be a new episode. What a shame he didn't make it to the big screen.
The quality of the CW show was due to the writers, one hundred percent. Gustin still managed to make the god awful script feel palatable. He carried that show on his back and he’ll always be my personal head canon flash
I never watched the tv show besides a few episodes early on and clips online, but why can’t we just have an entirely different actor than either Ezra or grant? Grant is what made a terrible show watchable but he’s a tv level actor with his skill, Ezra is a film actor but literally sucks as a human and doesn’t fit as Barry. Let’s let both ships sail for an all new one to come in
@@Real_DvD I honestly should, I don’t think I’ve seen grant in anything besides flash. He might just have the chops im uninformed there. I’d still like to see the next DC universe just be a clean reboot no returning actors just to move on and get something not tied to anything .
@@Ambereigh first two were perfect because the writing and hype and budget were there early on and like I said grant played a good Barry so that carries even bad tv writing. But actors aren’t just actors. Stage actors can’t role into a Hollywood movie set and vice versa. Think of the people you always see in those cop or law shows that have been on cable since our grandparents were middle aged adults, those are tv actors. Think of the ones you see in movies all the time even small roles, those are movie actors. Then of course stage actors with plays and musicals. And smallest but most well known category, Hollywood actors
Same, I would’ve went to the cinema at least three times if it was grant gustin. I didn’t even know they were going to make a movie and I didn’t care cause that flash wasn’t and will never be OUR flash.
Grant was literally the sole reason people watched the show. He’s a really good actor, it’s just unfortunate that writers for the show were complete dogshit.
The fact that WB dropped Johnny Depp over unconfirmed accusations but kept Ezra after the blatant psychotic behavior is absolutely insane and they should be ashamed of themselves
For real, they are basically setting their own money on fire. Canceled Bat Girl, a project that was nearly finished, that cost a fraction of the production cost for Flash, and actually would’ve made them money. But no, they defend people like Ezra and Amber, two people who are certifiably insane.
It's bc Miller is a pdfile and so is Gunn. Look up James Gunn tweets, they are disgustingly vile. He claims they are "shock jokes". But pdfiles have each others back.
Grant is the only Flash i’ve even known. He brought serenity to a character with a traumatic past. Played light and dark flawlessly. The thing that makes a superhero relatable.❤
Lol regardless of what happened with the movie (not trying to defend the movie at all btw) they weren’t wrong about the CW flash being a low quality, cheesy, garbage show w garbage writing. That part was def true.
@@genericsocks7542true but it’s weird hearing them criticizing the show while they were casting the mentally unstable actor for the flash. Like ion think they knew what qualities they needed😂
@@Noname78644 even if it's true kinda crazy how even later seasons where higher quality then 90 percent of the dceu. until you start releasing consistently good movies probably shouldn't call anything low quality.
*PS3 The visuals are too good to be a PS2 game. This looks more like an unfinished launch PS3 game. I mean for goodness sake Batman V Superman and Zack Snyder’s Justice League visuals are too superior than this piece of plastic fruit loop version.
Mannnn..... They reached into the bottom of the barrel to even do a Nicholas Cage Superman cameo, but GRANT couldn't get no love???? That's messed up yo.
I can understand the Nicholas Cage cameo because it's obscure from a movie that never actually happened, with a fun story. Plus it ties in with the other superman versions in the movie. My big problem is that they gave a cameo to George Clooney as Bruce Wayne. Even he hated Batman and Robin
@@godabandonedthistimeline hahahaha. He did hate it didn't he. Btw I actually liked having rage cage in there. I was saying it was obscure just for an extra trash talk for not bringing in Grant Gustin.
@@daryltracy7949 What I'm curious about is how much they payed Clooney to do it. This man hates Batman and Robin and until the Dark Knight trilogy felt guilty because he thought he killed the Batman franchise
And this is why I smile at Warner Brothers failure. They not only deserve this failure but earned this failure. Hopefully this will lead to them finally dropping Ezra Miller and acknowledge they screwed up. As for Ezra, my biggest hope is that Ezra fades into obscurity to never be heard from again.
The movie was objectively good, the failure comes from the main lead being an evil human being. If Ezra Miller didn’t do those things this movie would’ve been received way better despite cgi issues.
Grant Gustin wouldn't work for James Gunn's rebooted DC universe. Because he is in another universe. Also he already had a 9 year run so he needs a break. Have a completely new actor like Lucas Till.
@@JSK_03 same but still he wouldn't work for the James Gunn's rebooted DC universe. Having the same actor playing the same character over and over can get stale. Have a new and different actor
@@TheKickass85 I know the movie is bombing and it's already turning out to be a box office failure but is Ezra Miller really done. I know Shazam Fury of the Gods bombed but doesn't that mean that Zachary Levi is out as Shazam?
Grant has a situation comparable to Andrew Garfield and his spiderman movies. he stood out and was a great actor despite being held back by subpar directing and writing i think andrew was the best spiderman actor same as grant being clearly the best flash actor
Grant Gustin was the only thing going for that show honestly. the fact his acting is as good as it is enduring the circumstances he’s under really speaks to how talented he is. he deserves so much better
The only reason why he wasn’t in The flash was because the director didn’t want grant Gustin to take away the spotlight from Ezra Miller that’s why he’s the only one who played the flash/Barry Allen
I came back because reading most of these comments made me very happy and Im sure that if by any stroke of luck GG sees them he would be happy as well!!! We love you GG! We are with you!
I will cry if Grant isn’t in the Flash movie. I miss my OG Flash. Every time someone mentions the Flash I think of Grant Gustin as our sweet Barry Allen.
Grant was busy while The Flash was being filmed. AND, regardless of his personal issues, EVERY actor in the film said he was an exceptional dedicated and great actor.
I hope you're not talking about Ezra. Being a "good actor" doesn't make it okay to be a grooming psychotic pedophile. Like what in the actual fuck is wrong with you people??
The movie cut the final Cavill cameo from the movie and the final Gal Gadot cameo and decided not to even ask Grant even though he had been the TV flash for almost a decade but they did agree with unknown cameos and bad CGI cameos and wonder why the movie is struggling 😂
Literally 😂 and the excuse of “No guys it’s supposed to look smudgy because he’s running fast, it’s an artistic choice” by the director 💀 my boy, The Flash perceives everything at light speed, THIS EXCUSE IS HORRIBLE… don’t even know the character for fuck sake. Not to mention they removed Reverse Flash from this story 🤦♂️
