Terry, do not worry about government spending when the spending is directly investing in people. Worry about the excess spending and lost revenue on things such as HS2, tax breaks for large corporations, tax avoidance and a failure to introduce another tax bracket after the £150,001+ band to name a few. These things cost us 100’s of billions a year. What about the £500bn we loaned to the banks? In this video the minister clearly states that they were 3 weeks late on locking down. We are citizens of one of the richest countries in the world, yet we have millions of our citizens who are completely disadvantaged and have a poor standard of life.

It's the parents job to feed their own children. It's NOT the states job to feed them. If they can't feed their own children then they should have them taken away and given to people that can properly look after them. Bad parenting shouldn't be rewarded.

To provide free meals beyond school term is an issue of charity and should not be one of government policy otherwise it would be a case that the government is removing compassion choice from the tax payer who might otherwise like to support other worthwhile causes.
