I'd say so, yes! Although I'd personally still want my analogue delay and tape echo effects as well...

@@PedalExperiments which tape echo do you recommend? (If possible, stereo and MIDI, and not so large)

Oooh, tricky. My personal favourites are the Line 6 Echo Park and the Strymon Volante, but neither of those fit your requirements... What about the Boss DD-200? I'm sure that would cover everything you wanted, and it's not very big. 👍

Hey! Thanks for coming to me with your question. However, I'm afraid I don't have any experience with either of those particular pedals. 😬 That said, I'd probably go with the Drolo out of those two choices, purely because I'm not a fan of the "effect card" system on the Arcades. I just like my pedals to operate at their fullest potential, without the need to rely on accessories or external control. Also, are Cooper FX even still a thing since he went to work at Chase Bliss? That would also put me off, as I'd be nervous of the pedal breaking and not being able to get it repaired. Just my 0.02c! 😊

@Pedal Experiments Thanks for getting back...the molecular disruptor also takes cards eeproms...just more difficult to put in as you have to unscrew the base...was just experimenting with the mood...still not sure about the right looper side...nothing like my old boss digital sampler delay....still the left side loads of fun... my chain before the mood was boss oc2/ ehx frequency analyzer/ dreadbox disorder [ the low pass filter really helps to fine tune the ring mod and bit crusher] ,wmd super Fatman, bitmap v2, bananana tararira, bananana aurora, mood, Seymour Duncan vapor trail with boss slicer in its fx loop...never more than 7 together and usually combinations of 5...have added an extra output on my guitar so creating another chain to run them parallel in 2 amps and then maybe another 2 from stereo outs

Oh wow, that Drolo sounds even more fiddly to use! I wouldn't want to deal with either of them. Haha! Mate, your signal chain sounds immense! I love the idea of putting a Slicer in the loop of a delay. I'm definitely gonna have to try that. 👍

I noticed the mellotron vibe, too! And I kept thinking that different sounds reminded me of the more psychedelic studio tricks from Beatles albums:). I bought the Particle v2 because I was familiar with the v1, but I can see how I could use the Mood, too!

The Particle had a firmware update recently, which gives you a lot more variety in the sounds. But yes, the Mood also has the benefit of all the ramping, expression, and momentary functions, plus a stunning reverb built in as well.

Actually, I already did. 😬 I sold my Mood a couple of months back, after I got my Kinotone Audio Ribbons. Still got the Particle though, and I don't think it'll be going anywhere, anytime soon...

So you'd rather just be vague and nonspecific with your criticism than communicate anything that I could use to improve? Cool. Forgive me if I ignore your opinion entirely.

@@PedalExperiments forgive me. you are right in that I am being vague and not helpful. Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything as I may have expressing frustration. My elaborate would be that there are some musically dissonant moments in the video where the pedals are doing some wacky (and cool) processes and the mix knob is set to blend in your playing which gets hard to listen to for my perspective. I guess I would have prefer to hear 100% wet with those time blending sounds without the dry to avoid sonic splattering. Thank you for making the video and sharing what you love. All the best
