Thank you for this awesome video! Our students are studying about inventors in Reading. We just talked about Lewis Latimer's improvement of the lightbulb. We are now learning about other inventors and Granville T Woods is someone I would love to include.

Wow i sure didn’t know have of Granville’s inventions. He was an extremely intelligent black man. This is the kind of History that should be taught in our elementary, junior high and colleges. Not that ancient old white history that we don’t need to know about. We had enough of that History

Our school curriculum could definitely use a lot of reworking to be more diverse and representative of the whole history. We hope our videos help highlight some important people who did amazing things even though we don’t hear about them much in school. Thanks for watching!

This story don’t make any sense, it was the black by the name of Louis Latimer

Thanks for your comment. Yes Lewis Latimer was a great inventor who improved Edison’s lightbulb by inventing a carbon filament making the light last longer. But Granville Woods invented the items we featured in this video. There are so many great black inventors it’s easy to get their contributions mixed up. Thanks for watching.
