This is very impressive work and I can already think of many jobs I could use these for on our vertical mills. The radial relief and the jaw thickness will allow us to mill the entire perimeter of the part. Anyone know what he dips his serrated jaws in after heating though? Curious if it's only cosmetic or if it also increases the jaw life. Thanks in advance to anyone that has an answer.

In USSR was graduation about this thinks. Class A- machine , machine macking, B- MACHINE for manufature, ingection machine , PRESSURE or some shore machine. C - this is auto , computers , tv ect. And quality by classes. We are not so rich? to by low thinks. Will you pay 100% for quality of your car ?

when he place the next part into corresponding place is that hole and slot angled or straight ? im still trying to get my head wrapped around how the fixture moves when he tightens it

Приспособление полезное, только под шляпки зажимных винтов надо шайбы подкладывать - улучшенные, шлифованные, толщиной не менее 3 мм. Потому, что опора в пазе не на всю площадь шляпки.

Hola Federico.Efectivamente estas grapas son muy utiles y seguras para fijar cierto tipo de piezas y son necesarias en muchas ocasiones por lo que tener una pareja de ellas es una ventaja.Saludos y suerte con tu canal que me parece muy interesante.

Как же приятно видеть когда человек делает все по человечески, но знаете , мне кажется таких уже не будет. Сейчас молодежь думает как бабла срубить по быстрому. Они видят бентли по тв и все думают жить так же. Никто не хочет выбирать средний нормальный , хорошо оплачевыаемый уровень жизни. ОБратите внимание человек в очках. Покажите мне мастера такого же уровня до 30. А прихваты зачет. Вот только вопрос, гарнатия плоскостности детали, что ее деталь подорвет. Был ли рассчитан вектор касательных напряжений ?А если угол заготовки будет отрицательный ? Да и еще , есть сейчас магнитные плиты китайские относительно не дорогие 700 $. 20 кг на см2 прижимают ( по их паспорту)
Если в неподвижной части вместо резьбы сделать простое отверстие, взять более длинный болт, который будет вкручиваться ещё в один "сухарь", стоящий в Т-образном пазу стола - очень даже работоспособная приспособа получится.

Задумка хорошая , но сам корпус зажимов не термообработан из за чего в скором времени выйдет из строя резьба . Кулачни закалены не правельно , может произойти разрыв из - за напряжений в метале .

Nice work boss. When machinist were toolmakers. I've been running CNC for 20 plus yrs but if I had to use one of these horizontal mills, I would be like a fish out of water.
That has to be the nicest set of Table Vise I've ever seen. Well worth the effort considering the price for a set from Vertex. Great little machining project too.

Demuestras como con ingenio y oficio y profundo conocimiento de todos los detalles de la tarea u operaciones que vas a realizar y todo sin asistencia de ninguna computadora ni control numérico computarizado, logras lo mismo que hoy en día solo se puede lograr en máquinas herramientas de varios ejes interpolados y sincronizados entre sí y obviamente siguiendo las órdenes de una computadora desde el CAD-CAM-CAE. Es simple, con una buena maquina, (tu clásica mandrinadora) no dejas nunca de sorprender cómo llegas a increíbles resultados, siempre virtud del hombre por sobre la tecnología!! consistentes, precisos, y claramente confiables y creativos... Beautiful job Raymond I think these clamps are a must for every machine shop.I will have to make a pair when I have some free time.I like to point out one thing which would improve the jaw security because the forces are at 45 deg. and clamping forces are in compression and downwards I suggest a small step milled on top edge of the jaw seat will take the resultant forces trying to shear the small screws or at least stop them getting loose over time.Not trying to to teach a master machinist his job only a suggestion.
