dolma/sarma is hailed in ottoman empire and with that, the different cultures in the Empire got affected. its one of the signature meals of turkish cuisine like kaymak, iskender etc. good to see someone eating traditional non mainstream meals instead.

Those "grape leaves" looks like Sarmale ( that's what they're called here in Romania ). Here they're filled with ground meat and rice ( mixed together ). Delicious.
I knew this comment section would talk about where grape leaves come from. Okay listen: we all come from the same corner. So every country was influenced by other countries foods. U cant just claim who owns it. At some point in all the past years countries shared similar foods. Food should bring people closer and not put borders

If you want to warm up pastries, use the oven hot air about 80 degrees, not the microwave. Using the oven hot air will warm them up and the fyllo will stay crunchy as it was when fresh

@@Sas-asmrr we call it dolma too and we make this with vegetables with different fillings. The concept of dolma was brought by Alexander when he came from Greece to India

Oh Syrian tradition food 😍😍 We usually make stuffed grape leaves with rice and meat and we call it (Yabraq) and if it's stuffed with rice and vegetables we call it (Yalanjy) both are deliciooooous 😋😋 Healthy appetite ❤️❤️

I miss eating stuffed grape leaves and spinach pies and cheese pies!! If you know how to make spanakopita I recommend maybe trying it as a meat pie instead! Using ground beef it’s extremely delicious!
