I apologize if I came across as rude. I love the South Africa videos and chapter in the book. Pinotage intrigues me a lot. How do producers get American vines that are nowhere near the USA to be used to graft VV vines. I assume grape growers buy them but shipping them is what I wonder how they avoid damage. I’m surprised Cinauslt isn’t grown in South Africa.
Not rude at all! Nurseries trade in vine rootstocks, and vine scions (VV for example) - and Cinsault is defo found in SA - it's one of the most intriguing up and coming varieties for SA
