Hello everyone! Today I share with you my logo creation process for this project. I designed it in Affinity Designer using only iPad Pro 100%. All work in vector and raster formats has been carried out in the same program and I love this workflow! At the end of the video I show you my layer panel, small spoiler: it seems a bit complex but it is not so much.
I get ahead of the questions: RASTER BRUSHES
For lines: Ink section; Comics Ink Pen
For shading: Sprays and Spatters Section; Finest Spray Rade.

Hi! I am creating illustrations and sharing my process on You Tube. I am doing easy modern illustration on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil Using a Procreate app. In my opinion this is the best app for iPad Drawing. My illustrations are inspired by simple shapes and color richness.

That is so cool! you make that look really easy! I have just started with Affinity designer and doing a course. Thanks for the vid! Hoping to try replicate the design. I have a pen tablet for my laptop hoping it works in the same way. Tablet looks like a really good way to use design software

Just watching this has helped me see what the program is capable of. I’ve been dragging and dropping nodes with a mouse, and the outcome is not nearly as impressive as what you’re creating here. Time to save some money. Thanks for the inspiration. Love the use of texture and color!

Wow, you blew my mind with this. You made it look easy, I love the effect of the object protruding outside.ofnthe letters. Does this have a name (certain kind of masking or clipping) so I can learn more about how to do it? I'm using the Mac version but I imagine the tools are the same? It's a very nice logo! I am so jealous of how good you are using the pen on Affinity! I have the app installed on my ipad and I can't find the way use it with the right way so far! (Btw, if you can give any tip on how using the pen with this style - creating shapes - I would appreciate it, thank you). Congrats! Awesome!

Thank you very much again, Greg! I use mainly the pencil tool with a stabilization turned on and the "use fill" button turned on as well! Check out my last affinity designer tutorial where I tried to show it a little bit better :)

Awww thank you very much!!! In my opinion, Affinity Designer is the best option for graphic design, however there are more apps like vetormator (hope the spelling is right). Check my recent AffinityDesigner tutorials, I explain better the steps and give more technical information 😉 Brw, ansering your question about the logo process: YES SURE! and you can export it in svg, pdf, etc etc etc I made a quick logo for mt friend’s project in a 30 min on the bus 😅 Thank you very much for your comment! That is a gorgeous and sophisticated logo, really joyous. I am sure if this video is studied carefully it will be enormously useful. I have got affinity designer but have not yet invested that much time in learning it but seeing this maybe I should. I will probably try to do my own initials and floral work in Procreate first in a simplified version and then see if i can replicate it in Affinity Designer. Any tips on the best learning resources for Affinity Des? You made this look so easy , thank you for sharing this delightful yet complex piece.

Thank you a lot for your words! An Affiinity Designer is "Learning by doing". It is pretty intuitive but you have to spend a few hours working to learn and understand the program. I really recommend you to learn from the educational videos that Affiinty made for this software (affinity.serif.com/es/tutorials/designer/ipad/ ). They explain the basic functions and how to work with. Then you can start with you tube tutorials. I know that is looking pretty easy but is was like 1,5 hours of non-stop work spending a 30-40 % of time on managing well the layer panel.

JUNGLE OF COLORS Thank you so much for this, I had a go today trying to replicate this on affinity designer IPad , with my own initials and more or less the same Flowers and feathers. I was pleased with the results , but not nearly so good as this. I learned an awful lot in the process and as you say layer management is more difficult than a pixel based appas it places every curve on a separate layer . I was surprised though that I could make such complex shapes with a little practice and close scrutiny of your settings. Very satisfying project. Cheers

JUNGLE OF COLORS I think this is an excellent idea. If you did this , then you would only need to show a basic layer group at the end and the student could replicate this standard grouping if they wanted to add more elements to the design. I am also going to work my way through your other vids when I get the time . Many thanks for all the hard work.

Yes, it is 👌🏻 Affinity Designer allows you to export yourvectors in: svh, pdf, tiff, psd, pdf, etc 💪🏻 I have done a few vectors projects exclusevly on ipad 😉 feel free to ask me if you have more doupts

Check out my last video, maybe it could help you. Anyway, sometimes you have to add a few extra anchor points and to start and finish you “sculpt” in one of your anchor point. Ah, and you have to have uour object already selected. Tell me if it works for you 💪🏻

Depens of your preferences. I am a mac user, but now I am more ipad than mac. I use ipad to do professional graphic design work (using affinity designer) and it’s awesome! (Never have had any problems with fonts import and vector export) 😉 I would advice you an ipad, but if you like more windows... (I has been using windows for years until I ended up hating it fow its slow work or user experience fails)

Everyone is saying "thanks, now I know how to do this!" but like... Where in the video do you actually see which tools she is using? Am I the only one who's missing something? This didn't help. It's just a digital art timelapse.
