Nicely done. Looking at the quadratic formula in parts: [1] the discriminant describes how many x-intercepts the parabola has (0, 1, or 2), and [2] the rest describes the vertex ... assuming the domain is the set of real numbers. No need to delve into the complex numbers at this stage. This stuff wasn't explained very well (or at all) when I was in high school. You just memorized it without really knowing why.
I am just wondering and I hope I get an answer, how old are those students because I am like 16 and those things that you are teaching even though are well delivered and well taught are still really simple and easy just my opinion no disrespect
I believe its highschool too, they have like 16-18, but quadratic equations are everywhere so its very important to understand them, so thats why teachers (or most) emphasize on this interesting topic.
