Hey, I just wanna thank you for this video, for me it is really useful since it has been really difficult to find specific features of django graphene I needed.
Hey Vivek, thank you - this just really points out how little I have made so far that I haven't even got to scraping yet. Thank you - I will get there!
I like your videos, but in my honest opinion, this one was a bit less straight forward. I think it could use some efficiency improvement. Still very helpful and useful, certain parts were just painfully slow. Also, will you cover how this query can be used beyond just showing information? Could it be passed into power bi for example?
Hi Tim, it is comments like this that have real value - thank you. I appreciate that I should be more positive about the tutorials I build but, I only ever see improvements, it is a learning curve and I have much to learn. I recorded this 3 times, each time slimming down and trying to get to point that little bit quicker. If you could be so kind to expand on your comment regarding efficiency - that word can be a little ambiguous and I really do want to get your feedback as to what you were referring to. I would want do a few more theory sessions with this series and then applying it on the front-end using React - following the quiz theme. Unfortunately, I cant answer your question regarding Power Bi.
@@veryacademy I'll review it later and see what I'd recommend. I'll probably be like "hey this timestamp to this one" etc. But I gave the feedback to hopefully make it more accessible to people like me and want to see you succeed especially since this benefits so many. Easily some of the best Django tutorials outside of paid content. 👌
Hey, thanks for you the video. can you make a video for Unit testing in django + GraphQL project ? I want to implement unit test for django with graphql project.
For sure I will be - next up in this is a front-end example then will do some testing. I will also do a bigger project with this and more testing further down the line.
@@veryacademy Hello, if you have some reference links using that I can implement also at the moment unit test in graphql and django.. that would be really great for me. Thank you very much for your help.
Hey, well. Lets say it can be - there are multiple factors here. Here is a good read to start understanding the differences. devathon.com/blog/graphql-vs-or-rest/
Hi, at 29:20 all_answer is defined as graphene.List while question is only graphene.field ..... that's why maybe in answer the graphql is expecting list rather than single object. However you changed it .get() to .filter(), as filter returns lists so, it was accepting the answers in frontend. I am just beginner but let me know if i am wrong
Thanks for great tutorial series!! Few things that I think would further enhance the quality of the content would be: 1. I assume that you are creating these videos to cater to both kinds of people - standalone watcher and someone who is following the series. But it can be redundant for someone who is following the playlist. It would be great if you just mention that you have already covered this in the previous video and add a link to the same. 2. Keeping the models consistent across the series would be even more beneficial. Thanks again!
Is it a good idea to also create a schema file within the project directory and define schema = graphene.Schema(query=Query) within that file, so you can bring all schemas from the apps to one place? or is it better to define it all in their own schema file within the app directory. I hope this question makes sense, I'm new to this xD
