That's kind of a broad question, but essentially, just make sure you're strong and healthy. If you want to compete, than you'll have to choose a weight class you can cut to but still be strong enough. Hope this helps.

This would be the 5'7" model, but it's actually the first iteration, the SMARTY 1.0. The model 2.0 is a bit longer, especially in the legs.
