Thanks a lot for watching. Yes, it is definitely being cut too low. However, in our area, grass grows well. And this grass, grew well after being mowed.
@@nickhearn7288 rule of thumb is only cut 1/3rd of the blade to keep the plant healthy. So that golf course cut it little by little till it was at the length they wanted. Just saying you should probably learn a little more before you just assume you know it all
Hello mr. grass cutter in Pakistan. Let me thank you for first: 1. learning english 2. having a lovely attitude 3. taking the time to make the video 4. working on your yard because you live nature like me Thank you sir
@@edsonrios5036 Professional gardeners. They're often horrified at how short people cut their grass. At least here in Scandinavia, things may be different elsewhere.
The 70ies called .... No seriously, my parents had this mower when i was a child. I remember the distinctive cutting sound. It was noisy. Used lots of oil to keep it going over the years. The garden was small so it was no effort. My goal was to overrotate it (being a very young kid back then). Great memories. I bought a newer model now to run after our robot mower who skips a lot of corners. My recent one is much more silent but no Steel container to catch the grass. Great video :)
We had one of these push mowers as a kid in England, what's new? They've been around forever and yin can still buy them for £30 odd.. Have they never seen a push mower before!? Or am I missing something here? I'm actually embarrassed for the bloke!!
not all equipment is common in all places. For instance in india harvesting wheat with HAND SCYTHES is still very common. Not even a big scythe like we are used too seeing in old images. HAND SCYTHES like a small curved knife. Not a ton of grass in pakistan. And what they do have is probably used to graze animals. lawn mowers probably aren't all that common.
You should always mow high for increased photosynthessis and growth. Also, mulching clipping is good for the lawn , and never remove more than 1/3 of your grass in one mowing, it stresses the grass. Cool machine, but ruining your beautiful grass.
Thanks for your great advice. Yes, you are right that the machine is mowing the grass almost to the ground. However, the grass is growing well in our lawn. In winter, the grass gets killed. How to prevent this kill in winter?
Yes, your ideas are good. I have planted my garden now. Some of the visitors said that the blade in the video aas lower and it might cause th grass to die. But, the grass in our lawn is growing well.
It's called a reel mower and this guy is clearly not following the 1/3 rule. I have the Fiskar's brand which works great. They also offer them in gas and electric which are much more powerful than this one. Golf courses and athletic fields use them alot. They are better than rotary mowers as they cut the grass blade like a scissor (reel to bedknife) rather than the karate chop method that rotary lawn mowers use. Your lawn must be relatively flat for best results and clear of debris like rocks, sticks, and mulch which can damage the reel blades.
No. It was good and grew well after cutting. Once our grass burnt as it remained overgrown for months which was green on the top and burnt at the bottom.
