A great bit of kit to work with,and very sturdy and well built,well done haron.

Our two and three quarter year old son was absolutely ENGROSSED by this film, today. He's now fully up to speed on the benefits of tapered trailers with air gap ducting; protected rams; double vs single ram systems and the general prowess of Norn Iron trailer manufacturers when it comes to beatin'. One question: When you're unloading at the yard you ever get grumpy old former dissidents refusing to put down their ram arms?

When it comes to single rams versus twin rams, the advantage with a single ram and the reason most tipping lorries and lorry bulkers opt for the single is stability. With a twin ram system the hydraulic oil will always seek to its easiest road, i.e the ram with the least pressure which is the least loaded side of the trailer. On an uneven surface it would increase the likelihood of the trailer rolling when tipping.

Bailey trailers all the way, them bits you were saying grass get stuck on are steps you try getting out of a trailer with out them, twin rams every time there a lot more stable & less stress on every thing,

that chassis on the nc looks very much like my 12 ton easterly root trailer even the springs look similar prefer the back door though in that a easterby there great triangle things in the back so it just rams together

That twin underbody hoist isnt a good idea I reckon If the silage is unevenly chopped into the back 1 ram could bind up that's my only issue

I struggle to understand why contractors go for a full fleet of well spec'd trailers. I think i'd be running 3 Johnstons/Donnellys and then 2 good strong halfpipe type trailers with hyrdaulic back door allowing for grain carting, drawing pit silage in the winter and dung etc. No need for a full fleet of expensive trailers, even for the men that are lifting big acres.

I drove silage trailer for years the 14-16 ton trailer comes in single and double ram versions but the single ram versions are way more dangerous on hilly terrain other contractors will say the same, the double ram is more solid👍👍

Why no real silage trailers ? That push out in stead of tip ? That is less dangeroes on the silo and most of them have traction!

Like every John Deere/New Holland man, you're obviously going to have a grudge against Massey Fergusons. Dont say that Masseys are bad because their not. The Massey will end up having more hours than the New Holland will.
