I was hit by this unexpectedly. It was 4 am, I couldn’t sleep. I got this thumbnail suggested and randomly clicked on it. The opening hooked me hard! I had that moment that all DeadHeads know about. It was as if time stopped and all things came back to Jerry and the boys. As Jerry’s raspy voice calls out with the dog whistle, “Hey Now!” I melted. This is an incredible band, whose impact cannot be summarized. They produce moments in time that seem to sit outside of time. This opening hit me again, 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside, bundled up to the gills, in the woods, and I can’t help but dance to this. Its unbelievable, even in the moment that the Dead hits you, a special wordless feeling. I am not sure anyone will care about my experience here, but I felt compelled to share for some reason. Thank you to whoever uploaded this and to all the DeadHeads perpetuating what they did! For those who don’t understand, I am sorry, for those who do, let it wash over you and enjoy the moment you’ve been given. Jerry, you are greatly missed and yet your impact continues to transgress space and time, music really is a better language! I am so thankful for this music!

@@johninacio4180 Yes that's it! The 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Penta. We even took over the music, some head slipped the bar a Franklin to put in a cassette of a show. Do you remember the 40 ft inflatable King Kong with a tye dye shirt on? Some said it took like 20-25 king size sheets to make the shirt. Someone popped it after the last show and everyone was tearing up the shirt for souvenirs. I was too awestruck to run up and grab a piece. Coolest thing I ever experienced ever!. met some cool people who drove 100's of pounds of some jolly green giant looking shrooms from Oregon in an old van. I have never seen redwood tree looking shrooms before👀🔥✌️⚡😲💯 or since, the whole 2 weeks seemed like a dream encapsulated within a dream. Just the standard 9-night run at MSG. How many bands in 2022 could pull that off? I can think of 1. Most bands have trouble filling a venue of this size for more than 1 night. If someone plays the Garden for back to back nights, you know they’re big time and have a huge demand to be able to sell that many tickets. Yet the Dead set up shop for 9 nights! The following years they would scale back to just 6 night stays but still, really goes to show how they were a band unlike any other.

I also stayed home for this show. I think it was on WNEW? Lost the tape over the years, They also had Hall & Oates who did A great rendition of "EVERYTIME YOU GO AWAY" it was a great show. If I remember it was A RAIN FOREST SHOW. When I watched PULP FICTION And Vincent said he was Suzanne Vega's cousin it reminded me of this show. I think it may have been the one out of so many shows in NY I didn't go too. Being it was on the radio and I could record it. Other then that I don't think I missed many shows in NY, Especially JGB shows. They were the best! The other shows that were mainly from CAL. We were able to record was almost every NEW YEAR'S EVE! I'm still sorry about June 22nd 1992. I forgot Jerry's honey and lemon all three times I was in the room. I appologized to Manasha and she excepted. We had the National Baptist Convention in Pittsburgh at that time and I was getting my balls crushed in Room Service to the point I was running trays on stair to keep up and not the elevator it was that bad. I still remember all these years later how Manasha was so nice to me when I was really weary and had about enough. But it was the first time I ever made over a hundred bucks in a day in my life. And they gave me 4 tickets to 6-23-92 in the twelfth row. I'm still so sorry I forgot the honey and lemon. I didn't know at the time who it was for. I thought Manasha was some crazy fan when she signed Jerry's name on the check and gave me a thirty dollar tip. I got Eric Troutman the manager and told him we had a crazy lady who thinks she's Jerry. Eric said that it was Jerry's room and we didn't advertise that fact and that I was to keep quiet till they were gone and then some. Keelin had spaggetti and marinara.

I seen too many negative comments about the boys at this show. Sure, Jerry's voice is shot, why can't he be human? He gave us his compassion for decades. Give him a break. I wish I had been at this show, but 1988 was my last tour date, at Buckeye, Ohio. Still, I look at the song selections, the boys, and their guests are all tight. Despite Garcia's raspy voice the instrumentals were as good as they ever were. And some of you were worried about the shirt Bobby wore? Wasn't this for charity? Where is your charity? Love my family. Peace. Jerry is God. LSD saves. NFA.

I Am not saying it's a one off, take a single dose, and don't worry about anything for ever after with no effort exerted. Now we have the internet so we can see who he was, What he did as a human being from fighting to save the Coral in areas like Hawaii and other places to all the foundations he and the band started. He was a very intelligent man, A realist. The whole thing with people who were mostly the younger crowd saying he was like a god really bugged him out. One of the things that Bobby said in his documentary was that Jerry didn't like all the fame and that's why he did heroin. According to Bob, Jerry said that it put everything in a tight little box and all the worries went away. Think about it, A fan base unlike anyone has ever seen before or since. On the east coast alone The band was given an award for having more people in the meadowlands than any other band. I remember the Dylan Dead Show....They estimated over 120,000 people got into the one show...How I'll never know.
