My favourite song by my favourite band. Good version, too, with strong vocals even. As Jerry's voice got more ragged, his guitar got clearer. Bill and Mickey make good synchronised backup dancers. Can't see Brent, but can sure hear him. Thanks for sharing it.
Nice!! "Just like crazy fingers" thanks now at least I was there, and even if your real comfortable in life buying time on St. Stephen. You where not live!! in concert I was miss you Miracle,Brandy, and family love those days!!! It was like we always said even playing in Shasta wilderness (National Forest) watching butterflies from caterpillar to flight. We are always home, and the Grateful Dead is are family life.
Love this song. The backing vocals are pretty good (although not as good as with Donna in earlier years). Jerry's singing sounds rough by this point, but he makes up for it instrumentally. Brent's playing (compared to Keith's) gives an equally but different dreamy feeling. I can't understand why they shelved it for so many years.
Watching this show saddens me b/c the previous night was one of the best second sets of the Brent era(does have trippiest Space ever and my favorite Baby Blue) and it wasn't filmed. 7/2 isn't a horrible show but it seems bad compared to the 7/1 show.
to comment or not to comment..."that is the question. whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune...." $5 bucks to anyone who can tell me the play this quote was from. I'll give you a hint...1623.
