This was a fun show, rode over from Albany with some buddies to catch it. I went without a ticket, got there, took 5 steps, looked down, and found a ticket. Small place, general admission, the joint was jumping. Stagger Lee in the first set was great and Phil knocked us over with his thunderous intro to The Other One. Then we drove 5 hours back to Albany, made it on coffee and reds, Marlboro Reds that is.
Loved this period when they would transition into Franklins Tower from another song that would be in "A"....especially out of Mississippi Half-Step. They didn't bring back Help/Slip/Frank until like '83 or so. Only Jerry can make a 3 chord jammer sound like a complex orchestrated piece of music...and different each time.
