Kyle, just incredible to stumble on to your channel, during the entire Covid lock down in Malaysia, I watch vlogs on NZ daily until I got to fly in for 3 months this year. I flew in first week of May and looking forward to my next trip this coming Feb/Mar. Have a great week in Wanaka 😎🌤
Best place in the world to be isolated at this time. Leaning on each other for daily comfort and strength, admiring the natural beauty of Aotearoa. Also looking up to God to lead to guide and direct us all thru this time of need.
I hope you guys are safe 10 days without covid-19 rry heart goes out to you locked down but nice to see the team of 5 million doing it together take care be kind as I know you are
I'm in Motueka at the northern aspect of the Sth Island, surrounded by two mountainous National Parks and the sea. We're at Level 1 here ATM and Auckland is at Level 2. Your movie is of excellent content and quality on the button Kyle, and your comments are commendable. I hope you're still enjoying it.
Have strength and faith and be strong. Pray for patience and for all your families who are still doing it tough. God bless you. From a kiwi living in Australia.
Well as another kiwi, and having once spent a summer holidays living in Q'town, I just hope you guys weren't too badly gouged by the avaricious landlords. As to Mr Olsen's comment, clearly I lack his intellect & foresight for I did not have the prescience on Feb 25th (the date I assumed you arrived in NZ given you were there a month & were due to leave on March 25th) to see this coming given the first community transmission didn't occur in the States until Feb 26th & the first case in NZ didn't occur until Feb 28th. Moreover, NZ has never before closed it's borders. Prior to that on Feb 4th Tedros urged against travel bans & on March 4th praised both China & the US. It wasn't declared a pandemic until March 11th. They had their tickets booked; & how easy was it to even leave earlier? I didn't see the absolute destruction both in economic & human terms that this is wreaking. Complete idiots....I can only assume that Mr Olsen also took self-isolating measures during SARS, Swine Flu & the Ebola outbreaks. They were unlucky. I just hope they're all home safe now. www.odt.co.nz/news/national/nz-borders-closed www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/04/coronavirus-timeline-of-new-zealand-s-response-to-covid-19.html Oh, and can Mr Olsen make videos to the same standard as these 'idiots'? I just wish I could. All the very best guys.
I made friends with some other travellers stuck here in lock down and everyone l spoke to said campgrounds were amazing in how they treated them. One guy said the campground gave him a cabin for the same price as an unpowered van site.
that said as someone who was born here .. im kinda pissed at the way migrant workers and other people who were stuck here had been treated ... like you know maybe we could have given them the unemployed benefit for the duration ... .. honestly im disappointment at the way we treated them...
@@Longtack55 .. yeah ... they have family's too feed too you know and right now where their from and where their family's are are generally pretty desperate .. hell its not like things we're easy before now so yeah we are in a position to help .. to be decent people .. look i dont know what you do for a living or how much you are struggling but how ever bad it is its probably better for you here than it is for them there so .. yeah ... but you know .. they are people to ... also you know we invited them to come work here to do jobs that evidently kiwis weren't willing to do or at least not willing to do for the wages being offered so .... maybe be a little less bitchy about it and i suppose thirdly .. i suspect that since they are working in new zealand and sending the money back home they are already getting taxed and if where they are from doesn't have a double taxation agreement with new Zealand its probably getting taxed twice ... once by our govt and then again buy their home government and even if they are being paid under the table then their employer is still paying tax on the profits they make and they still have to pay gst on anything they by here and they still get taxed by there government when they send it home .. soo yeah... maybe you know be grateful you're not in that situation?
