Marhalah syaikhuhah (old age) is the last phase that humans will face and experience. Regarding the limits of old age, Imam al-Qurthubi (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "A Shaykh (an old person) is a person who has passed 40 years." Based on this, anyone who has passed the age of 40 until the end of his life is in the final phase of his life. Human life generally ends between the ages of 60 and 70 years. From Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "The age of my ummah (Muslims) is between 60 and 70 years. And few of them pass through.” [HR. At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. Shahîhul Jami' 1073].
