Every time I watch this, I think bak to the day it came out. It was a Thursday. I was in English class. We were watching to kill a mockingbird which is one of my favorite books/movies. It hit 9 o'clock and I was furiously refreshing the channel. Then I saw the thumbnail and just about died. Watching the video, I was basically having a seizure in the back of the classroom. I was smiling the whole day and watched it about seven times. That was a great day *sighs*

I've just binged this entire show in one sitting and this might be my sleep deprived ass talking but this is one of the best P&P adaptions I have ever seen. The slowburn was INCREDIBLE and dragged out just enough, and then it kEPT DRAGGING IT OUT AND BURNING and it feels SO GOOD to finally come to this episode and FINALLY GET THOSE KISSES AND CONFESSIONS

Isn't it amazing how great they are at acting? I mean, watching them when they're just goofing off together, there is no sexual tension, and then the moment they're shooting, Ashley and Daniel make so I can feel Lizzie and Darcy's mutual attraction from out here. It's just...fantastic.

Darcy's lines and acting are just impeccable in every scene of this series, particularly in the many series of facial expressions and cues. Darcy (from the Pemberly arc to this, in every Darcy-Lizzie interaction following the first confession) somehow manages to come across as teasing, good humoured and trying really hard to initiate banter and interaction going with her (something that Lizzie frequently misses due to her nerves). You can also see him show enjoyment of their interaction even with the tension/awkwardness. The more I watch it, the more I see how he is trying to be more himself around her and make a better impression.
