A Video showing Dennis Anderson's attempt at a backflip while driving his Monster Truck Grave Digger. This stunt caused bodily injury resulting in apparent internal bleeding.
I was at this one and remember it well he broke his arm and collarbone and punctured a lung in that wreck that's why he stopped driving but Dennis will always be the king of monster truck drivers
I did that every year with my dad, but monster jam decided they arent going to do it anymore near my town, now we gotta drive for 5 hours to get there;(;(
Thanks man! I appreciate it very much! Doing my best to keep them away from other things that could be filling their mind.... Loud trucks and mud seem to do the trick LOL
He was going to retire that year anyway lmao Dennis announced a few years ago that 2017 would most likely be his last year so you can't really blame the backflip.
I know is a comment from 4 years ago, and yeah, that is a good comparision, looking Earnhardt's crash looks like an "innofensive" crash but everyone knows what happened (of course for a nascar crash) Dale's crash didn't look so horrible like others, example Geoff Bodine, that crash looked fatal, and deadly, but miracously he came alive from that, and in this time looked like another "innofensive" monster jam crash, but no one expected Dennis was very badly injured, now in comparision like Senna, Bianchi or Hubert, well those accidents looked horrible and fatal, so I think doesn't have the same amount of look alike and comparision, a perfect example of why HANS devices are very important for the safety of the drivers, fortunately Dennis is good still today probably enjoying his retirement with his family..
I remember seeing Dennis for the first time… he was a god when it came to racing and free styling… when I found out he retired my jaw just collapsed and my heart sunk. I hope he’s doing alright right now.
Yea it is! Reminds me of myself when I was a kid LOL They got like 100 Monster trucks under their bed. We just got tickets for the Triple Threat in Tampa for September too :-)
Grave Digger is the monster truck association's answer to the WWE's Undertaker. They should've let the deadman drive Grave Digger to his gimmick matches. P. S. If I ever build a monster truck, I'm going to call it "Hell-Raiser." That would be awesome!
I mean if you pay attention he's old and can't do what newer younger drivers do and he probably knew And didn't want to hurt himself and most drivers wait till the truck is flipped over No hate
This man is a legend. So many crashes and he keeps getting back out there for the fans. If anyone here hasnt kept up on him, hes back at it racing his newly improved Mega Truck - King Sling. 1400HP and half the weight of a Monster Truck, take a good guess at how those races go!!
👍 well 90% of Grave Digger. ☠️ He must have had one hell of a night! Grave Digger was always my favorite. I somewhat fondly remembering watching Dennis at Reunion Arena as a young boy. I say somewhat because Reunion Arena is completely enclosed. Then add ten monster trucks and a robotic dinosaur that shoots flames. Good times!!
As soon as you hear that first dong of the bell... you know the greatest monster truck driver is coming aka Dennis Anderson this man was bad to the bone for 35 years
Wicked sound on that video ! It felt like I was in the stadium!! 2 thumbs up!!! It's just too bad Dennis didn't land that back flip, still was a great run though. Awesome!!!
And why would Grave Digger have a bad crashing with his fans and why would this Grave Digger do his account for his kids for real but why did Grave Digger didn't do his job
I swear that truck cannot do one run without flipping over. I always liked what Bob Chandler said " anybody can flip a truck. It takes skill and talent not to flip a truck."
Man I am not American but I always have a huge respect for epic drivers in my heart. Then also Grave digger is a legend, been hearing about it from childhood, have seen grave digger in games only though!! If I will be lucky in future maybe I get to have an autograph and a selfie with this legend driver, he earned respect and we call from now Sir Dennis Anderson ..
Was in MetLife a few years back to see Max D pull of THE front flip of the century. You will never see beauty like that through a TV Screen, like you do through your own eyes.
Exactly its no were near the same on tv iam from pa and we go to the carrier dome in syracuse ny its awsome. The kid loves it and will keep doin it every year
As a guy who grew up a boy watching and going to monster jam shows this is why I will always have a disliking for what monster jam has become their new dirt backflip stuff instead of crushing cars and busses costed us fans a legend I'm very glad he didn't get even more hurt in this accident no doubt the shows are still very fun for everyone but just not the same and these stunts they expect the drivers to perform seem insanely dangerous I mean look at this prime example no hate intended just pointing out the obvious
Imagine people cheering and clapping as you lie stuck tipsy turvy, bleeding with broken bones, punctured lungs but the spectators have no concern for what May have happened. Whatever happened to empathy
The insane amount of Redundant Safety Features That monster trucks have did help in keeping him from becoming worse these trucks weigh in some cases over 12k lbs. The level of control that these drivers have is almost other worldly He might have stopped driving but the Legacy lives on and lets just say the folks that have been taking on future mantels of driving the Raging 12k lb beasts of human creation just get more and more talented.
There is a reason why no one till now a days did backflips frontflips and other stuff like this because these are extremely heavy Machines all they should be used for is crushing cars like the old days of monster jam
