We are rained out of doing more dirt work on this job, but we can work on regrading about 2,000 feet of gravel road leading up to the property. We are using the Kubota Skid Steer model SVL65-2 with the land plane, bucket, and roller. We also have to tailgate spread some gravel to get this one done.

Yeah, it is really a single use case tool, but it does its thing very well. I have no complaints. Thanks for watching, I always look forward to your comments whenever I post a new video!

Great video! You mentioned that it does not get rid of pot holes. I have the same Landleveler but a 72 inch, Kubota one or at least it looks the same. Mine has spikes on it that you can lower up to 6 inches or so to dig in and get rid of ruts and potholes. Then after, raise them up and smooth out.

Nice work and helpful videos. Do you ever wish a bigger skidsteer would work better for grading driveways? Thanks

At one point I thought mine was a little underpowered, but I found out a month or two after this video that my injectors had a problem from day one that caused power loss. Kubota replaced them under warranty and now I almost never go to full power on the machine unless it is for the aux hydraulics. I like this machine because with the bucket and roller I can still get it on a 14k trailer. I guess I would say there is always give and take, but on par, I haven't hit very many situations where I felt a larger skid steer would have fixed my problem. Thanks for watching!

I thought what you were running in the video was in fact a box blade or land planer, kind of thought the term was interchangeable, I’m about to buy the CID box scraper ripper which has the same design but with ripper teeth on the back, they can be faced forward or rearward. But man if all it can do is some light skimming and can’t fix potholes then I’m not buying it. I guess the moral of the story is get the knarly parts fixed with the flat bucket first then grab this for the fine tuning?

At the risk of drawing the ire of the internet….. my opinion is that a land plane is very good and very efficient at 1 thing. If you need to do a touch up on dirt or gravel…it’s awesome. But if I could only have either a land plane or a box blade…..I would go with the box blade every time because it can do more things, especially moving material over a distance. Just my 2 cents And yes I do the heavy repair with the bucket or just bring a mini ex to dig it out if it is really bad.

I have the same land plane in the video and it most certainly will fix pot holes. You will need to drop the blades all the way down and drop the shanks to really break up and turn the material. Highly recommend. Its been a solid money maker for my business.
