I entered my first Gravel Event.
Gravel X In North Wales 16 October 22 by Glorious Gravel
It was hard, the climbs were brutal.
I was one of the slowest riders, probably in the last 25% Although I did manage 38mph on the bumpy down hill sections.
I loved it and I'll do it again next year, but I was very sore for a few days afterwards.
I had only 3 Gopro batteries on the new Hero 11 Black, but these only lasted 75% of the way round.

Is it worth the money? Would you do it again ? And Is it any good for begginers

Yes 100% it’s worth the money. Yes I’d do it again. For beginners? Yes and no, I really struggled with the climbs and only just made it to the end. Beginners can do it, as I did but it’s hard. This is something you need to train up to and use as a goal and motivation to get you out riding. Also the difference between gravel and road is pretty big, I went straight from road to this and found it much harder than I imagined. However having said that, this was so much fun. I’d recommend it to anyone.

@@Helcc yes, there is something great about gravel. It’s a challenge, but a positive one.

So, you’ve got me thinking about it now. I’m going to book in to Gravel X April 2024.
