We are back at the Steele Creek Cemetery in Charlotte, North Carolina, to visit the area where the earliest graves are located. I check out graves from the middle 1700s... many before the founding of the United States!
These early graves are incredible... lots of history of the early settlers of this country, some Revolutionary War veterans, sad inscriptions of families, and graves of very young children.
This is Part 2 of an ongoing series at Steele Creek... Part 1 covers the history of the church and cemetery, and a walk through of the mid 1800 burial site. Future videos will cover the current burial area, and amazing and interesting graves located throughout the cemetery.

Yes graves from the 1700's are so surreal. And still reading them is amazing. Such a long time sgo.

I agree... there's so much more detail on them and they are much easier to read than stones from the 1800s. The 1700s section of this cemetery was incredible. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
