We heard there's hoards of ppl in India breaking lockdown, walking the streets and demanding essential items, is that true? How about.... now this may shocked you... but.... bringing some of those manufacturing business back to the West?? Sure, products manufactured outside China is of good quality (Taiwan, HK, India, Indonesia), however, western products manufacture in the west itself is DISTINCTION. As an Asian, I wouldn't mind paying double the price for a western product that's completely made in the West ; or if you wanna be optional, after this dabocle mess is solve, make two options for western products for consumers ; one it is western but manufacture in Asia, two it is western and manufacture in the West. Give more options and let the consumers pick which they'd prefer. Those who don't mind to buy those manufacture outside the west can do so, same goes for those that wants completely built up from the West.
@1234 I'm not white, also the west does manufacture, but is very limited in semiconductors and other components. I'm a realist, those jobs are not coming back in say, just 2 years. They are more likely going to the countries I have mentioned. American politics is wild right now.
