Even in the 1900s the average age of life of human beings might be somewhere around 30-50. It has increased in the recent years with the development of healthcare as well as hygiene, in addition to food security of humanity in general. Better nutrition ,better healthcare, better hygiene might just have contributed more to humanity's 'age increase' than the rotation of the earth. I could be wrong about this though.

I would like to reiterate this, since we can consider rate of change of angular momentum to be zero around the axis of rotation( as net external torque can be considered zero ( not exactly but for simplicity purposes)), it's angular momentum remain conserved, hence if it's moment of inertia changes then it's angular rotation also changes. When water freezes, the volume if ice produced is larger. The net effect is that freezing water or melting ice has zero affect on the overall mass.

Earth does loose some mass but, not nearly significant enough to cause changes in its rotation. The mass lost per day is insignificant compared to the total mass of the earth. But change in the distribution of mass would make sense. Much like a ballerina(spreading her arms to spin slowly, and faster if closed in).
